Root [ROM] CM7 TG-Reloaded (Final: 03-25)

After my reboot issues I went back to tg final for awhile. Should I be OK to just created the caches and then flash this new version?

It's worth a try, just create a nandroid backup to go back to if there's a problem. Clearing both cache AND dalvik-cache does not erase any user data.
 
Last time google gmail didn't sync, I had to clear cache and reboot to get it work.
Otherwise, I was getting error when I click sync.

Right after I updated to this rom, gmail app does that again. Getting error when I click sync.
I reinstalled gmail app, so will see how this goes.

On previous rom, I applied an app call 'fastfix' which, I think, write something on gps.conf file, and I am wondering, if your new rom update would update gps.conf file.
I don't know, if this is fastfix or the phone, but it's been 4 minutes and still hasn't locked.

I have my phone overclocked to 1200mhz and all voltages 800mv.
Cpu profile savage and all clocks tested with every stability test i can find.
The phone would not turn on it had the red battery icon everytime I tried to start it.
 
New version has most of what the gps.conf has. there is only so much an aGPS config file can do. You can view and edit the /system/etc/gps.conf file on the phone. Im not sure it'll make much of a difference.

Some app probably drained the battery, using the wifi to transfer data. Keep it plugged in and hold power to try to turn it back on every couple of hours. Or maybe the battery died, rare but possible.
 
Any chance BT and WiFi can work at the same time? I want to use a bluetooth gps module... it sucks that wifi doesn't work with bt on
 
Hey after updating today I keep getting this "Google talk authentication failed" message I tried formatting system, clearing cache, clearing dalvick cache, reflashing the rom, and reflashing gapps ... and after all that I still get the message.

Honestly the pop up is pretty annoying. Seeing as I don't actually use Google talk could I just get rid of it or would it have any consequences on any other aspect of the phone.

EDIT: Tried flashing Google Talk so I could stop getting that message and still nothing.

Nope, if you don't use it you can just uninstall it.

You'll have to be more specific about problems for anyone to help. I don't use any video chat apps myself, but do know that front & back cameras works, and others have reported skype works. So it's probably some setting or app you're running that isn't right.

Thanks, I haven't been able to reproduce any since the 1/7 build. I'll see if I can reproduce it or any new ideas come up.
 
I have had a VM Triumph since they came out and I can't thank you enough for the work you have done. You have made a great rom even better and I can't wait to see what is next. I have no issues with the latest version it runs perfect. Thanks Whyzor, TG, Isaac Mantera and other devs that made this possible. I am not asking for an eta at all I am just curious if the HDMI thing might get a second look? I would be willing to donate more money to that effort if needed. IMO this rom would be complete with that.
 
Also, I noticed that maps was eating up the battery so I tried an old tactic I used to have to do with my Optimus V. I would put the phone into and out of airplane mode using the power button. This literally takes two seconds and after doing so causes my battery burn time to go from 7% per hour down to 3.5%. And that is without Juice Defender or Green Power installed. Maybe it is a CM7 quirk or something but I was able to reproduce those results with both 01-07 and 01-14 versions with the same apps installed. Hope that helps. Once again fantastic rom.

It came back on after some charging it was just something ran the battery down.
I wasnt connected to any wifi in the area, I just had it on and there was no open wifi available so i just turn my screen off and put it in my bag.
I also had data turned off.

So im guessing the constant scanning must have drained it?
 
Loaded the 1/14 rom last night. Left the phone off the charger and 10 hours later it was at 95%. First time my phone has entered deep sleep!
This Rom seems great. Thanks Whysor, Issac, TG and the rest of you who have put so much time and effort in making this phone what it should be!

Clear Maps data in Manage Applications. That should stop it. If it keeps running just purchqse Autorun Manager from the market and disable Maps recievers. I disable every single reciever from every app i have and they never start up automatically anymore unless i open it. I get great battery life.

Thanks for that tip. I was wondering if there was an app to do that. I revoked the startup permission for some apps but they were still starting up.
 
could somebody please post a link to that Google Bootlogo which is shown in the install video on page 7 post #334 http://androidforums.com/3798289-post334.html? I have searched here but found nothing.

Also loaded this rom and it seems that the custom ringtones don't always work. This was the same problem with CM7 beta. Sometimes the custom ringtones work for the individual contacts and most of the time the default ringtone will kick in. Do I have a setting incorrect here?

otherwise no problems with this rom.
