Root [ROM] CM7 TG-Reloaded (Final: 03-25)

I just wanted to say "I love what you have done for this phone, keep up the great work." I was just curious, is there any chance the BT wake lock can damage the phone? Reason I am asking is because I use BT all day at work and just wanted to be safe. I have had no issues with the BT thanks to your ROM and just wanted know for sure it was OK to use the BT all day like I do without any phone damage LOL. Anyway, keep up the great work, I am flashing your latest build right after this post. Also, I have found that by taking the bat out for around 5 minutes then doing a complete wipe before the flash seems to work best for me. When I say clean wipe I mean wipe everythig but the SD Card LOL. Take care and thank you again,

Yeah, it's definitely pretty annoying having the hold the home button every time I wanna multitask. Would it be possible to modify the time you need to hold it like you did with the back button? Obviously this could potentially lead to more accidental pushes, which could annoy people, but it's a thought.

You learn something new every day :) Yeah, it's similar to the multitask button un ICS. The only app i can find in the market right now allows you to assign various functions to the search key, but recent apps is not an option. I wonder if google even allowed access to the function. I'd write the developer, but it hasn't been updated in over a year, so I'm doubting it's still being actively developed.

I found an app that may work and according to what one reviewer posted it can be remapped to the search key under CM7. Honestly, I haven't tried it yet as my phone is not near me but, it looks like it might just do what you want. Here is the link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.britoso.morerecent

no damage. just shorter battery life since it can't deep sleep. but that's how bt being on should be anyway.

That is great news, I was having some trouble with my BT answering the call. If I use the BT button to answer sometimes I don't hear anything nor does the person who called, it is just silence. I have two LG BTs and both would do this so I thought my phone burned out the BT or something. Anyway, I went back to the stock ROM for a BT test and it worked so I then went back to CM7 because stock sucks! Sometimes it will answer the way it should other times it is like mute on both ends. The fix for this of course is to answer using the phone, it still goes through BT and I know who I am talking to before I say hello :) Who knows it might just be the phone does not like LG. Anyway, it is not a big deal the BT works just fine and I prefere to answer with the phone anyway so I know who it is LOL. Take care and thanks for the reply.

I tried to use BT yesterday, and it just says "paired, but not connected" when I click connect, it says "connecting" but then back to "paired, but not connected"

Just what I was looking for. I'd prefer being able to use the native functionality instead of running an extra app, but this will do until CM9. Nice find :)

Yes, there's an app called "Dev Tools" (part of CM7, which is built on top of Gingerbread) that allows system wide font size changes, it has normal, large, extra large, extremely large. Extremely large may make some text spill over the normal size allowed for each of the buttons. It basically affects all the typical Android settings & interface "White text with black background" areas. Apps have to have their own font size setting because they don't obey the global OS setting (this is probably where ICS's enhancement is). I use Opera Mobile browser and it has font size settings.

As for the install instructions, it's fairly straightforward, just have to pay attention to the details and follow them carefully. So far nobody has reported messing up their MT so bad that it's unrecoverable. Many people have gone through these instructions without problem:

I read the guide, and do already have all the files. I'm still going to hire a spotter, to read CWM's menus in case I can't. I've got the guide bookmarked so we can look at it togather. Your post really has me excited about doing this, I think it'll really help me out!

i flashed this today and since have gotten a really bad signal like no bars.......anyone else with this issue?

People complain about this all of the time. most of the time it seems to be just a preception. What I did is, I changed the icon from bars to signal strength.

That's in
Settings--> CyanogenMod Settings--> Interface--> Status bar tweaks--> Alternate Signal display

im at 75% no signal at home when i usually have 2 bars......i called vm they said id have to wait 48 hours to file a complaint......

There are no changes to the radio code that would have an effect on your signal. It uses the same stuff as stock or MIUI.

Went back to older version and remapped search key for morerecent app then came back to most recent build. Great to have search key bring up recent apps now.

They probably just have some service temporarily down. I've had that happen occasionally. When you're paying what you are for what you're getting , you really shouldn't expect it to be perfect all the time.

if the service was free i wouldnt care but i give them 55 bucks a month and the fact that i cant make a phone call or send texts in my room is not ok no matter how cheap it is

I'm on the 1/26 build and lately I have encountered a weird bug. During a call when someone hangs up on me, my phone will freeze and not respond to the wake button for about ten seconds. Also, I have calibrated my battery but the phone always dies when it hits about ten percent. I searched threads but couldn't find an answer. Ideas? Thanks again for all you do!
