Root [ROM] CM7 with GB kernel by RevNumbers

Any fix for playing videos? Any videos that I've taken while on this ROM work fine. Those taken previously do not play at all. I tried mobo player and it will play old videos but no sound.

Any ideas?

Just tried it. When I select a video, I get a message that says "this video cannot be played with system player".
Any other thoughts?

Open up rockplayer program then select the video you want to play then it will say that to i think then long press the file then select play this file again.

I posted the other day about sensor usage for Android System being at least as long as screen on time, but it doesn't seem like anyone else has noticed an issue. I flashed the Froyo CM7 and the issue disappeared, but it's back after I re-flashed the GB CM7. Could someone who's running this just check and see if the same thing is happening on their phone? Maybe it's not actually affecting my battery life and it's happening to everyone... since I don't think any settings or anything should remain after SBFing.

Do you mean for widescreen mode or do you mean the volume zoom buttons? For zoom you need to go into settings and turn the volume=zoom option on. For widescreen we're still SOL.

You can take widescreen pics with the MIUI test 17 camera, it works fine for me :D

I just put the latest build on my phone Saturday and its the best yet! Fastest and most stable cm7 build plus really good battery life. I'm glad I'm back!

When you say really good battery life, what battery life do you get with it?

My day begins at 530am. On any other cm7 based rom, my battery is at about 20% when I get home about 630pm. On the 9/23 nightly, I've been averaging about 50%.

The 9/19 build is pretty cool, more stable and has the miui battery bar. Just tried quadrant and got 2297, highest for me so far.

I just downloaded the 919 one today. That is the one from the op link that I found. Going to try it and see how things go :D

Is there a Star Wars based theme for this rom.

Does this rom have a theme manager in it? I know when I was on Miui on Froyo I loved that feature. So far, the only thing I have found is called "Theme Chooser" and it only lets you choose between 3 different ones. Anyway to download others with it?

Is there a listing of all the customizing features there are in this rom? I keep hearing about all those customizations, but to me it looks like Mobile_Sensei and Miui has more customizations...unless I am missing something somewhere.

The three themes that you see are what come standard with CM7. You can apply any of the themes listed either here, [UPDATE 9-22-11] Theme Chooser Themes - Over 230 Themes! - xda-developers, or with this app by JRummy https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrummy.list.tmobile.themes. Currently, there are over 230 themes available, just make sure you use ones that are HDPI as MDPI will not work on the X. Any that you download outside of the market will have to be placed on your sd card and installed with Astro File Manager or a similar app. Fourth post in the CM7 theme thread on XDA has add-ons for different themes as well.

The system lock screen has 5 variants with the most recent addition being the ring style. However, if you like the options that MIUI give you I'd give this app a try https://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.lockscreen.magiclocker&feature=search_result. This is still a fairly new app but the various lock screens (Sense 3, Darkness, Pulp Fiction, etc) work well and the developers respond to your questions and problems and are actively working on it. It was a battery hog but they've ironed out that bug.

As far as customizations that are native, you just have to play around a bit. Rev added Nis's MIUI status bar battery that you can now choose the color for or have it match your theme. I've been on MIUI and liked the customizations but didn't care for it overall and have been extremely happy with Rev's CM7 and the customizations available.

Thanks for the info. I guess I got spoiled with Miui, it basically did it all for you :D Just open up the Theme Manager in Miui and it would allow you to search the tons of themes, lock screens, and status bars from right in that app. It also allowed you to mix and match whatever parts of each you liked. Very quick and very easy to customize. Thus, why my confusion when I didn't see the same type thing in CM. I figured they would be similar, since Miui is built based on CM.

Thanks for the tips!
