Root [ROM] CM7 with GB kernel by RevNumbers

I haven't really looked into this, but is this just for 720p video play back, or also to allow recording 720p video?

It appears to be both, recording and play back. I recorded/played some new videos and played some old ones and they all were in the widescreen format.

Ok, I have a strange issue. At first I thought it was SSX, but apparently it is all CM7 based ROMs. I can't download a lot of apps from the market. It keeps saying my device is incompatible. Can't get things like xScope, livingsocial, but more importantly, I can't download Google Maps, which also means I can't get Navigation. Anybody have a clue on where to start with this?

Where do you change the video settings to 720p in the camera app?

I didn't have to change anything. When I opened the camcorder, the screen automatically switched to widescreen. You can tell this happens because the options and the record button are on top of what you're seeing through the camcorder.

If you need to check settings for this...just to the left of the record button is an option that should say 'High'.

I know there is a zip floating around to make the stock keyboard bigger, but I am having trouble locating it. Can anyone help me out?

Dang Im still having issues with wifi in the 10/30 build (have had it for the last couple nightlies). So frustrating when otherwise cm7 is so awesome.

Had the same issues. That's why I switched to Apex.

Not a bad idea, heard the battery life of .605 based roms are really good too.
Even on GB kernel cm7 battery life is not great. By the time a stable version of cm4dx comes out I will probably be on a different phone (if a stable version ever comes out).

Edit: Between the 11/2 version of cm7 gb and the newest market wifi seems to be fine *knock on wood.* Ever since the October nightlies my wifi was spotty with the market and some other apps, if this was/is the case for you try the new versions, it might make a difference.

Honestly, Kejar and Fab really get brownie points in my book for sticking it out with the DX.

Cvcps did great work but after the initial breakthrough he's been a little absent (real world issues I guess). Same as Framework, who, for the record, refuses to share any kind of information whatsoever; don't bother asking him for help.
Drod jumped ship too but I'm hoping he returns in a blaze of glory with Rubix.

Rev is doing great work too and he's a really cool guy (at least on IRC).

I appreciate the work all the devs have done on the DX and I understand that real life gets in the way (that's why I'm no dev) but sometimes some people seem real quick to jump ship.

everytime i asked framework for anything he was more than happy to oblige, but im not asking him for help on creating anything, just on his releases.

I tested a few releases for him way back when he was working with R2 on OMGB and the first build failed. He built it the very next morning and I tested it at 6am and pointed out a few issues/fixes. At the time, I wanted to work on P3s blurless build at the time cos I thought it could help with the battery issues on 2nd init. After giving him all I had and discussing the issue with him, I never heard a peep about it. He promised that if he got it booting, he'd contact me. Never heard a peep. After a bit I heard he got it semi booting or something but he wouldn't answer any questions. I got hit real hard with work and never made much progress on it.

I've also approached him on other things I tried working on but couldn't get any help out of him. With so few people developing for the DX, there weren't too many people to go to for 2nd init help.

Edit:
I was having trouble understanding how 2nd init worked (especially shadow-boot) and asked him for help. Brick wall. I ended up tearing apart the CM4DX install zip and figure it out. If anything, I'll ask rev or razor for help; they're always ready to help out a noob.
