Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

Hey Bloodawn,

Great work as always... I use Font Installer from the market to change fonts. You need to use preferences and check AndroidClock.ttf and AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf to change those fonts. Works but you may need to fix permissions via cwm to change to different ones in the future.

And I don't know if this helps, but for those trying the min settings, in the link that Bloodawn posted above about governors and such, there is a section about underclocking the processor too low and battery usage... it may be more beneficial to keep it in the 200 and above range.

hope this helps...

font installer is also built into rom toolbox for those who use it. As well as many other nice features in one app

Fonts can also be changed with Absolute System Tools for Root Users. It does almost the same things that ROM Toolbox does. It changes bootani and has a built in terminal emul. along with a bunch of other stuff too.

not a big deal, but after a fresh install of either 3.68 or 3.65 when i install google maps and launch it, it says 'login failed' in a very small popup at the bottom right before showing the map... no FC... but just interesting. anyone know why?

hit menu and go to settings, then hit sign in. On the dropdown allow all the permissions

I can't remember where it is, but there should be an option somewhere in Maps to sign in..when you hit that, it will ask you to allow Maps 3 separate times, either popping up automatically or through notifications in your notification menu. Once you allow those 3 prompts, your login will work correctly.

Yes it does but I like the UI on from toolbox pro much much better.

Yep. It does have a good UI. I've had Absolute System Root Tools since I bought my Prevail and rooted it. Just wanted to throw it out there since it's one the I use all the time. I have them both and have gotten used to the ASRT's UI.

I like that fact that it gives you everything you need on the first page, sd/data and internal storage included. It's not as fancy as RT but it gets the job done for fonts and bootani's. It also has a lot of other features too. RT does have more features though and It's a nice all in one app.:)

There's a free version too, most main features still work

I use rom toolbox pro, and system tuner pro, I use them both since one another may have an option the other doesn't, anyways it helps my phone tremendously, I gonna give the one your using a shot to see how it is.:D

It's a pretty nice little app bro. It doesn't have all the features that Rom Toolbox has but it's not bad for the money. The DEV still updates it too.

It's got a file manager, app manager, bootani's, fonts, terminal emultr, add blocker, build.prop editor, and a couple other things. Not bad at all. :)

Strange. I just had a message saying that there was an update for my ROM. It popped up twice but when I checked nothing was there. Any ideas what caused that fellas?

Probably just a bug with GooManager, its still in beta so sometimes it can act weird.

Still getting used to GooManager but it looks like it's gonna be a neat thing to have. No more coming in late on a CTMod release. I take it that it will send out a notification when you update the ROM or kernel. Am I correct?? Or will the I need to run an update check??

@K28king1, I went ahead and got the SystemTunerPro app. Glad you said something about it because this a nice app. Thanks for the heads up.

Rom only. Themes are on there too

the only thing it automatically checks for updates is rom's. but you can download any of my current projects on there if you go to Browse all files > devs > Bloodawn

No problem. There is a bit of a learning curve with UI, but I find it to be the most comprehensive rom setup app available:)

Does 3.68 support Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3?

I recently got a new car stereo, KD-X50BT, and haven't been able to get metadata via BT.

CTMod 3.68 w/Hyper 2.0 is fantastic! The battery life is excellent, and I've experienced no noticeable errors.

Thanks Bloodawn et al!

EDIT: CTMod does have AVRCP 1.3. My stereo was reading correctly tonight. Sorry I asked. I was having probs, but it must be stereo side in some way.

says cannot connect to camera after opening it twice have to clear data for the app in order to use it again. have had this issue since 3.6

edit: oh my battery life Is horrible its like watching an egg timer count down don't know why everyone else is doing fine. I bought a 3800mah battery so if that don't work then idk what will

Is your gps on or off, how high are your brightness settings, and what are your CPU settings. I get absolutely above average battery life with this rom/kernel. But remember it is still only a 1500mah battery you can't and won't get godly life out of it. :)

Anybody think the font could be better? I'm not sure if it's my problem, but the stock font is clean and clear, while the default font of this mod have some kind of shade around it in certain font size.

Is there any setting for the font smoothing (Sub-pixel font rendering) ?In my kindle font hack there is some option to change how the font is rendered, and some is better than other.

I tried other fonts with font installer. The droid sans look OK, but still there is some shade around the font edge.
