Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

I tried other fonts with font installer. The droid sans look OK, but still there is some shade around the font edge.

The font in the rom is Droid sans, which is the stock android font.

If you don't like it all you have to do is change it. There are posts on xda with all kinds of fonts.

The font on this rom is fine. Use font installer from the market if you don't like it. Although Blood CTMod would look nice with the roboto font. I put it on mine.

Sorry I don't mean to bash the font or the ROM. I tried several fonts with font installer but never get the feel that the original font gave to me. I tried to copy the font files from the Sprint ZVC rooted zip, but it may not that simple to just copy and paste the font files to /system/fonts.

Now I just want to use the font in stock ROM. It seemed not easy with font installer(which can only install one font at a time), maybe I need to try font changer.

Update: I just used font changer restored the stock ROM fonts. It looks just as before. Maybe the method I tried before didn't replace all the fonts correctly. Thanks!

no. that was for the prevail, not the marquee and it was for 2.4 which is completely different then then 3.0+ and the status bar is already semi-trasparent, just not 100%.

if you want it to be completely transparent you can use the kitchen or manually edit statusbar_background.png in SystemUI.apk
 
Appreciate it and I already know about the hidden menu setting and have shortcuts on desktop. I've had three marquee's and haven't been able to get the built-in to work on any of them, just connects locally... I wish it did as I'm sure it is much better but I'm happy that I at least have wireless tether working :-)

I'm actually concerned about my ear/ears getting blown out or ruining my BT docks with the BT audio level glitch.

I'm truly hoping it's something that can be fixed in an updated ctmod release down the road bro.
 
Well, I haven't had any issues with sending files via bluetooth to and from my pc or another Android while running CTMod. As a matter of fact, I just transferred some files the other day via bluetooth to the Prevail that I sold my buddy. Worked flawlessly.

Bluetooth also works well for my Motorola ear piece, dongle and the bluetooth in my car.

No problems here Bloodawn.:)

BT file transfer works great both ways and haven't had any issues.

These devices:
* Motorola Roadster 2
* Jabra Drive
* Jabra Extreme 2
* Motorola S9-HD
* Motorola H730
* Blue Ant T1
* And a couple of BT docking stations

Work beautifully on this phone and two other phones with custom roms also...

The issue is when in a call and you adjust the volume it's fine until the screen times out and you hit the power button to turn it back on. The volume goes full tilt on any of the headsets being used at the time!

I have the same problem of camera, quite annoying when you want to catch something instant...
 
I found the camera decidedly slow with the stock rom, too. It's a slow phone. As for the "Cannot connect to camera" problem, that was fixed in the latest Rom/kernel. Are you updated?

I don't think the "Cannot connect to camera" problem was fixed. It was a camera shutter problem that was fixed. I've had the "cannot connect to camera" problem since the first CTMOD rom, and am currently running Hyper 2.0 and ROM 3.68. My wife's phone doesn't have the problem though.
 
If you're having problems with the ROM try wiping the phone and re-installing. When you decide to run a custom ROM with an OCed kernel, you gonna need to tweak it a little because all phones will react differently to the kernel. Once you find the correct settings you should be good2go.

As for taking quick camera shots, put a widget for the camera on the homescreen for easy and quick access.. The camera takes quick pictures, it just takes a couple of seconds to process them. There are also apps out there that will take rapid shots. You might want to look in to that if you want to use the phone in that capacity. There are tons of camera apps out there.

Taking a look at the big picture, this phone has just begun it's development. I look back at the time it took the Prevail to get a custom ROM at the level of the current CTMod and believe me people, we are way ahead of the game when it comes to development considering the number of DEVs we have working on this phone.

I don't know about you guys but I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the ride. I see good things in the future for this phone.

Completely agree wetbiker7!!! I purchased this phone specifically because of Blood's work on the Prevail. Nothing but fantastic. The improvements on the Marquee are well worth a few little quirks that come with new development.

Your phone may be slow.... mine's fast as hell and I only run it @1300. It screams when I OC it to 1400. :p
 
Interesting -- I had both problems, but they both have gone away since I updated. When I had the connect problem, I found using a third-party camera, like Camera 360 would work.

Actually it's a short-cut so nothing need be downloaded and installed unless you want the fast burst camera app.

Long-press the homescreen, select shortcuts, select applications, then select your camera and/or camcorder. You now have a camera short-cut on your homescreen. I just tested this and it gets faster after you use it a couple of times.:D:D
 
Oh, yeah, I already do this. You're right though -- after the first launch it gets faster on subsequent ones. Just not sure how long between inactivity it needs to be re-initialized. I need to test that.
