Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

anyone having trouble with the new market (google play)???

was trying to buy an app and got a window with:"an error occurred. Please try again"
I had that issue when I was purchasing "Cut The Rope" yesterday, but I went to the Market and purchased it from my PC at that point. I didn't look into it any further though.

no issues here..has been working great for me on my devices..taking advantage of the few things they droped prices on

I can't find the original link to the emailfix.zip file (and anything else if it exists) that was used before for the original removed apps before the new one for the current ctmods above 2.5 to the current 3.2.
I know its fixed and not needed now, but that's for the new one, as long as I still need it do you have the old one/original link?

Search the thread, there's a link to it in a few posts. I'm on my phone at work so I can't get it.

I did that and didn't see it, searching through posts on this site through the phone/browser/mod/kernel/forum or whatever the cause makes search boxes close and screen-jumping-around to occur, (I'm talking about using the forums search functions) and i don't have a PC. Ill keep reading and try n find it.

hey blood i got my brother inlaw to let me install ctmod for him. but hes Bit()ing that he cant use the wifi tether app from google source code.
do you know of
a wifi tether that works with ctmod?
thanks in advance.

I read page 13, not sure what the point was. I'm going to give up on this for today, too much reading and squinting with this phone for one day for me. This may have been covered before, but I'm asking anyway. Is there any big differences on installing some of these removed Apps from the market compared to installing the originals that are in the removedapps.zip file? - More specifically take Gmail as an example, would the two have the exact same coding or would the one that belongs to the Boost phone be different as in having something tied to Boost, just like how Boost/Samsung might have a different version of an app just for people that own a Prevail?

Hopefully I worded that question correctly so you know what I'm asking. That goes for all the Alps that are in the original removedapps.zip that are also available on the market.

I think I'm going back to building sidewinder missiles, at least I was good at that. (compared to searching forums for the word "removedapps.zip")

that is on page 13, it also happens to have a link to the old app zip.

the apps on the market are newer versions, ones that came with the phone are older versions, thats the difference.

when i release 3.3 theres going to be a new app zip that fixes some bugs and I removed any app from it that can be downloaded from the market.

OK, I will look yet again but I didn't see a link, I did however just found this link on page 16, - EmailFix.zip - I am guessing it's the same, I haven't compared them/links yet, and its hard to do all of this bouncing around back and forth with this phone. Ill take a look now.

LOL ..... its page 13 for you, but its page 16 for me. Same exact link and post. Took me 9 hours but I got it.

Seriously?
I find it easy to look up and search different dirty picture Web pages at the same time.
Just hold the link (click n hold) then open in new window.
I have the stock browsers settings to open up pages in the background.

If you read the CTMOD patch notes you would have seen that EmailFix is no longer needed ;) Bloodawn removed the need to use that fix with the recent version. I understand though that all these pages of information can be daunting. It took me awhile to fully grasp everything as well. Just be patient ;)

Lolz already tried it.
Crashed when I tried putting a phrase on it. XP

I use Wifi tether and never had an issue with the newer one . Only problem I had w/ the older one was not being able to use a true wifi , only adhoc .

There is a feature called access control that lets you allow or deny users who want to access your network . You don't actually need to use a password just enable access control . It will notify you w/ a sound when someone request to use your network , just deny it .

ONE more thing ....... are you going in to settings/Change Device-Profile and changing it to Samsung Galaxy Indulge ? AND ...... are you going in to settings/Change Set-up Method and changing it to Softap for Samsung (master) ? This is the only way that you will be able to get a true wifi network enabled .

Try the first one in the link below . It works great for me when I change the settings described above . :D
