Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

I do want a custom mod, and there are some positives to this mod, but all the color has been removed... it looks kinda generic, and Zeem Launcher don't help any in that respect... guess i could just put my own launcher of choice in, and edit the color settings, but then whats the point of this rom, if i gotta just make my own from it...? another thing is the transparent drop down status menu, if i have a web page open or text msger, then it looks confusing seeing through the drop down... other than that, good work guys...
 
yes, i understand that, thats the whole point to custom roms... but does the colors really make that much difference in minimizing...? if so i stand corrected... as for the transparent status menu, dosen't transparency add more...? i don't mean to be argumentive, and my opinion dosen't have any meaning, its just an opinion... :)

Hello, i need someone to test this issue i'm having out and see if you do as well.

running 3.2 ctmod with Kk2.0
not sure if i installed beatsaudio-prevail.zip prior to this issue

But when using google play music and an aux cable for my car, when a song is playing and you unplug the aux cable-it calls your most recent person in your call list.

This combined with the lock screen issue. it's impossible to stop the call before it connects?

is anyone else having this issue?

should i simply install win amp or something and call it a day?
 
I did some googling for ctmod themes, and theres a lot of finds reguarding unuseful things, like world of war craft... :/ are yall using themes for Zeem Launcher...? and are them themes affecting the colors of status area...? also does the theme affect the status drop down...? sorry for all the ?s... any guidance is appreciated...
 
ADW Ex is my launcher . As for the status bar , a launcher will not change that .

CM7 offers the ability to theme the status bar .Other than that , you will need to do it yourself .
 
ahh so its CM7, that explains a lot, lol... thanx... how is ADW Ex...? i've been using Go Launcher, but its started to get bloated...

Look at your phone...its a samsung galaxy prevail...in comparison to lets say CHEVY CARS...HMM well this would be the metro..now thanks to all the creative roms that are out there and lots of hard work our little metro is now a cobalt..not a camaro..so if its a camaro you want then dont buy a metro...geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
 
help!

backed up my factory restore and then flashed 3.2 in cwm.

now my phone seems to just be flashing samung and then flashes kouma kernel .... repeat, repeat, repeat ....

..... is this what you guys call boot looping? how to correct?

i tried to restore my backup but i get some stinking error ....wtf

any thoughts?

use odin to EJ06 or FA19 rooted with CWM, after its finished you can flash CTMod and you should be good.
 
I just was catching up on the progress...
i see some of you have internal storage at 100mb+

ive got the Samsung Galaxy prevail (obviously) but with the BASIC apps needed to stay on the phone for sync options, Gmail,facebook, and small curvefish widgets-like 6 in total, my internal is at 35MB
but i also have like 100+ apps on SDCARD *unpartitioned* that i use..

..or are yours that high because the SD CArd is partitioned..., so your internal storage is really the partitioned sdcard...otherwise...whats wrong.

In the stock version,or after the first update, might have been ICS..
but when your in SYNC with Gmail..etc, the 3G icon and WiFi..etc are GREEN.
when they are not SYNCed they are white text, im talking about the statusbar... is that an option now? or could that be added back to the next release.

with CTMOD 3.2, the notification sounds from system.rfs\system\media\audio\alarms- there are some that were REMOVED.....

easily enough i can just copy the missing sounds, and move them over there...

But...is there an option where i could ZIP the files, keeping file/folder structures, then using CWM in recovery , use the "install zip from card" option, then would it extract the files to the correct location, and reboot, and be able to choose them..

example, Alarm Buzzer, isnt on there now,like it was before, and that whistle and bird chirp...

i have 2 friends, they have the same mod, and i didnt notice til they said something, so having it in a zip option, would be nice to use on theirs, instead of taking the time, one by one.

A green one. Lolz.

And blood.
The wp7 theme you have for 3.1 works for .2 too.
I installed it on my brother in laws phone.
Running g 3.2 like me.
 
@Bloodawn quick question. I've noticed this in the past and was just wondering if this was a difference between stock (CTMOD) and CM7.

On CTMOD, Stock, and anything non-related to CM7 when you go to the Privacy Settings under the Settings menu. The only option you get is 'Factory Data Reset'.

However, on CM7 you have two other options:
'Back up my data: Back up appliaction data, Wi-Fi passowrds, and other settings to Google Servers'
'Automatic restore: If I reinstall an application, restore backed up settings or other data'

Now on other phones with stock they seem to have these options. Yet the prevail stock doesn't seem to have it. Is this intentional and are these options really part of the stock android or is this a CM7 thing? If they are part of stock can these settings be unlocked? If they can't it's not a big deal. I'm just wondering why the prevail doesn't have these options.

I've always been curious and figured why don't I just ask ;)
