Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

hey blood ..would geting rid of music ..and music player no longer allow ringtones and stuff like that? i dont download or listen to music on my phone and would like to get rid of it if possible

nah, shouldn't bother ringtones. It might mess up bluetooth tho if you use that.

P.S: I think it's cruel and extremely immature that someone took your mod and revamped it without giving you any credit whatsoever. Sadly, these things happen and honestly I haven't seen any true moderation by the forum support to stop it. I believe shabby had the same issue happen to him.

Dang well that sucks :( Is there anyway to figure out what is causing the force close? It's a shame the color effects option doesn't work for things like night time and such the old camera app had. I do agree this one is much better but it's a shame the entire program doesn't work as it should.

I guess I'll just put the old Camera app. Thanks for your help Bloodawn you've been great :) Also thanks for making this one of the best mods for this phone!

Thanks so much for this rom. I have it up and running and flashed for the stock email. Must I flash the appinstall.apk to get a couple more things from stock, specifically, gallery and the voicemail shortcut? If not, could you post some links for those original apk's? Thanks again.

the voicemail shortcut can't be added back. if you go to the dialer tho the button on the bottom left calls voicemail

all the apps i removed are in the zip in the first post, instructions on how to add them are there too.
 
I have read those instructions: Alright, for anyone who has trouble adding apps to /system/app this is about as easy as it gets

Download this - ApkInstaller.zip

Open ApkInstaller.zip using 7zip and drag and drop your apk's you need to the system/app folder in the zip

Throw the zip on your sdcard and flash it in CWM and your done

Don't make a post asking for help if you try adding some random app that you downloaded from the market or some website and the app doesn't work

edit:added a link to this in the first post so no one can say they can't find it

My question is, how do I pick and choose which .apk I would like back? There is not much here in detail regarding that. I looked through the folder and did not find individual .apk or .ops files. I do not want to flash it back to stock and then manually remove the ones that were originally taken out in the custom rom, or is that exactly what I must do?

all you want is the stock gallery isn't it? the name of alot of the apk's pretty much give away what they are, Gallery3D.apk is what you want

the apk's are in the RemovedAppsGB.zip and you add only the ones you want to the ApkInstaller.zip
 
Ah, my problem was I downloaded the appInstaller.zip as was looking for it in there. I'm downloading the CORRECT zip now and can make that work. Sorry, that was my mistake. Thanks again for your response.
 
I'm not sure if it's a problem with the ROM or not but thought i would post a a problem my wife is having with her prevail. She is able to send texts but not receive them.she has rebooted as well as took the Battery out and so far nothing has Worked

Edit: forgot to mention she has CTMod as well

did you try updating the prl and rebooting then seeing if it works?
 
I am running this mod with kouma kernal.. I'm having troubles playing pretty much any video unless it's one that i've made. I have tried flash player 10.whatever but it doesnt work. I have used quickpic which is installed.. Media player also installed still.. and Mobo Video player pro with the separate install.. None of which will work.. Can anyone point me in the right direction? :confused:

yea, I'm working on 2.4 right now. will probably be done around the 5th when my probation ends

redoing some of the theming that i did in a hurry before, cleaned up some code, tweaked some more stuff for performance, fixed some random bugs. some other stuff I've done too but i don't remember atm

ill probably post some screenshots later

what videos? flash and quickpic work fine for me

if your talking about streaming videos go to the full version of the sites instead of the mobile version
 
I tried that too, boss. I don't know what's going on. I thought it was because I tried the flash, but I uninstalled and deleted it but mobo player wont even pop up as a preference to use. I'm thinking about changing roms but my usb is being buggy. The computer wont recognize my phone and i can't find a dl without dl'n the whole packet of cm7 or "back to root". Granted i am trying to go to cm7 or shabbymod, although I like this one a lot.. Just wanna expand my horizons.
