Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Not sure if this is part of stock dialer. I just noticed it the other day. I am now on CM7. But...

If you enable T9 Search in the phone settings. You can search from the phone dialer screen. Pretty Cool Really.

Also, I believe that Go Dialer / Contacts has the alphabet down the side thing.
 
Hey blood, I drive truck over the road and have a quick ? Which of the apk packs / or other programs do you recommend I install to get voice activated dialing thru my bluetooth headset's mic working again. Its very important I have this feature, because it is now illeagal nationwide to use a phone in a commercial vehichle without a hands free device while driving. The fines start @ $2,750.00 and that would really put a crimp on any future donations! lol.. I wanted to ask u b-4 I put something on my phone I really didnt need.. Tx

Again, my phone is awesome and I thank u for all your hard work!

I don't have a bluetooth device so I'm just guessing here but try VoiceDialer.apk. hopefully that works for you
 
I wish my phone was here right now I had mine set up just as you need.

here is what I remember off the top of my head
you need
bluetoothopp
bluetoothpbap
bluetooth testmode
brcmbluetoothservices

Those "should" be in by default then you want
googlequicksearchbox ------- this is important, I normally dont care for this n dont use it but it is also used when you want to do voice commands on the phone. you hold the button on the bluetooth then talk... example call jenny home
voicedialer
voicesearch

those should be all you need. I found
I had the modded zip made things a little easier

Blood, I ended up having to put both the VoiceDialer.apk and the VoiceSearch.apk with the apk installer, and it now works like a charm.. ;-) Tx!

hey whats up guys,just wanted to say thanks for all your work bloodawn,this phone is pretty badazz now,never thought when i bought it at radio shack for 150 bux i would actually be sporting a droid comparable to the higher end selections on the market or in my opinion BETTER,thanks to peeps like interdpth,shabby,hroark13,blood,and others that frequent these forums ive become more familliar than ever wit my device,trying to figure out how to put a different boot animation now tho,been reading the post's throughout this forum and it seems like it should be pretty easy but...i am pretty much a No0o0B..so,newayz this rom ctmod2.4 is the shizzz.thx
 
Bloodawn, first of all, thank you for this beautiful and lightweight ROM. I actually find that my best experience on a phone so far is with my Prevail + CTMod. However, I'm noticing that the biggest drawback to the Prevail is its rather tiny onboard storage capacity. I know other mods can "force" SD storage of everything. My question is this: is this too complex an addition to CTMod? Something like this would simply move my phone from excellent to heavenly.

There are scripts and apps you can accomplish this by. I am personally using darktremors apps2sd script and it works like a charm. There are other alternatives and there is a thread comparing the two big ones.
 
Everything was working fine but all of a sudden my market stopped working. It keeps saying server error. Everything else that uses the internet connects without any problem. I have the same apps that I had when my market was working, except some have been updated. I tried downloading ctmod 2.4 again, unzipped it and copied the vending.apk to my system/app folder. Still won't connect. Anyone have any ideas?

I also tried clearing the data and cache for googleframework and market with no luck.

uninstall any market updates and clear the cache for it then reboot and see how it is
 
BloodDawn how do we keep our apps from the market and all of our contacts and such? I have installed you rom before and lost everything and had to revert back to the back up to have these things again.

Also I have made myself a costume theme for your rom and I tried to load the theme I made over at The Kitchen and it wont take it. Is there something i am missing here?

I just installed CTmod2.4 and Im currently stuck in a boot loop. I see you said it should take about 5 minutes the first time but this boot loop has been running for a while. Perhaps I need to restore at this point I suppose?
 
I would try it again, I have flashed his theme a few times and every time it works no problem and come back up fast too.

I just wish i could get my theme to work on it.

contacts are linked to your gmail account. when you log back into the market they will sync

you either have to reinstall the apps from the market or use titanium backup. if your already on CTMod and upgrading to a new version you can do a advanced restore in CWM and restore /data

did you upload framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from the rom to the kitchen?

baseband EJ06 is required for CTMod. you can get it from the odin thread

Thanks man, I will definitely take a look into that.

One last thing that's almost minor, but I've always been impressed with the ability to use the power menu to take screenshots. Is there another script function that could accomplish this?

Yeah I did that but I still can't get them to work. I took a look at your theme WP7 Style 1.1 and it's diffrent then what was made for me. I think I did something wrong but it did say it was good to go. Are there settings have to use only?
