How do you get the original keyboard back?

all you gotta do with the kitchen is make your changes, upload the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk and submit it
If its not flashing download this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37768988/theme.zip and add your themed files to it. frame goes to /system/framework and systemui goes to /system/app

download either version 2.1 or 2.2 of the rom and pull LatinIME.apk out of /system/app in the zip and add it to your phone

If you are referring to the Swype keyboard, it is in the RemovedAppsGB.zip file. Just pull the apk out and put it in the ApkInstaller.zip file. Then use CWM to flash it back onto the phone.
There are other ways to do this, but I think it is the easiest to follow.
Just reread the earlier posts in this thread to get more details.

Yes it's the swype keyboard I want. ApkInstaller wont seem to work for me it says bad file when I tried. I also want the 3dgallery, original music.apk, original camera.apk and a couple others.

best way to get and use swype is to sign up for the beta and get the latest version. it is so much better then the stock swype, it knows more words it has better talk to text recognition and the placement feels easier.

I did like the new Swype except it seemed that it lagged just enough to make my input speed suffer amazingly as it dropped my letter chains. Is it possible that this phone is just not strong enough for it?

Ok I got ApkInstaller to work finally, the apps I want are back buthow do I get the Swype keyboard back?

If you're like me, visual, you'll appreciate this:
Android 101: How to change keyboards
Oh and if you don't see "Input Method" in your "Language and keyboard settings", just do the second method to switch input... long press on a text field you want to type in.
Update: Summary...
1) activate the keyboard - so it can even be a choice. This is done by checking the box next to the keyboard name in "Language and keyboard settings".
2) select the keyboard - will be used anytime the keyboard is needed. This is done by selecting it in "Input method". If you can't find it, then just long press in a place like the browser address bar (where you would type in text) and it'll pop up.

no it has worked perfectly on 2 phones I have, now three.
the optimus M which is stock clocked at 600mhz but the same cpu as the prevail.
you may have some interference from some other thing you have.
also are you on ctmod? I didnt see which rom your running.
you will want to go to /system/libs and search for anything with swype in the name.
if there is something delete it.
Also just thought of another possible are you running a2sd what class is your sd card? slow sd card and the swype apk on the sd could cause that problem.

Well I didnt see any changes other then the battery icon and signal icon changed. The boot animation did not change and nothing else did. I still think i am doing something wrong with this.
What can do I to fix this problem?
Do I have to return to stock and start all over with rerooting and all?

put your boot animation in /system/media in the zip
you'll have to tell me what changes you made and whats not showing up for me to know what else is wrong
nah, going back to stock won't change anything

here's a ? for you,, over on the Kitchen the have an option saying up date binary with 3 options.

Also does your Rom have the Senes.apk or Touchwizard.apk in it?
It asks for these also but only if the rom has them.

nah, theres no sense or touchwiz stuff. the pm i sent you should answer your questions about the kitchen
Settings>Applications>Manage applications, select the market and press uninstall updates. you may need to clear data too to fix your problem, i don't know tho

That is the downside of moving apps to system. I have pretty much quit doing much of that except for vital services that I will need right after a factory reset. Like at least one Launcher,keyboard and Market. Also apps that rarely get updated. Unfortunately, gmail and especially maps get frequent updates. I did it a lot with SHABBYMOD but not much since A2SD ,S2E and Hroarks solution.

Well I finally got my phone set up the way i want it again now that I have CTMod2.4 installed.
I don't think I would have got this done with all the troulbe I was having doing it with out Bloodawn's help back and forth walking me threw some things. I look forward to using my new rom on my phone. It os booting up faster and runs a lot smoother now. I installed my own theme I made over at the Kitchen and again with help from Bloodawn I got it done. And I love it.
I will try and post up some pictures of it tomorrow for you guys to see.

When I click on Market the only buttons I can click on are "force stop" and "clear data". Everything else is disabled. I tried clearing data and rebooting with no luck. Anything else I should try doing?

Try un-installing any market updates and then let it update again that is what fixed it for me when the same thing was happening to me.

this is what I've tried so far.
deleted vending.apk marketupdater.apk from system/app folder.
reboot
copied same 2 apks from ctmod 2. app folder back into sysytem/app
reboot and tried market.. got server error
went to manage applications cleared data. no cache so button is disabled.
reboot tried again with same results.
have no idea what to try next.
