Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Some are having this issue and others are not . You can always try to do a fresh install and see if that solves your problem .

The only one I use on a regular basis is the voice search feature . When I press the search button on the far right side , it vibrates every time I long press it .

I only came to a slight issue, nothing huge, but I noticed with your latest 3.2 that Haptic feedback on the bottom four touch buttons (settings, home, return, search) does not work. I even verified that the setting was enabled, which it is and it works when I type texts out. Any easy fix for this?

I woulda waited for 3.3 :( but the FA19 update was so annoying.

PS to whoever is interested, I am using KoumaKernel 2.0 with CTmod3.2 and there doesn't seem to be any issues.

Haptic feed back runs battery down faster anyways :P

Yeah I was trying to avoid doing a fresh install seeing that Bloodawn had a couple quick fixes to some issues like the volume and swype issues. I will either do that or wait for 3.3.

Definitely runs battery faster but negligible, it's worth the feeling that you're actually touching something like a push down button.

I've got a question for ya .
I know this app doesn't come with the ROM but I figured this would be the best place to post this question since I'm running CTMod 3.2 and KK 2.0 .

I'm having problems w/ Gmail receiving notification when mail is sent to my phone . I can sync it and the mail is there but It doesn't notify me all the time like it should . I've wiped data , uninstalled then re-installed the app and even went as far as to re-install the ROM . Sometimes it fixes it but the problem keeps coming back . Any insight as to what might be causing this ?

Has anyone else experienced this problem ?

I think its a problem with gmail cause I've had that happen for a long time

works fine for a while, then it stops notifying me and then it starts randomly working again lol
 
I used the apkinstaller to install it and according to titanium backup, it is already a system app . Hmmm

Probably a dumb q, but you aren't disabling autosync are you? Or using juice defender (or similar app)

Also, did you check in the gmail settings?

Yeah , I've checked all that and still no justice .

I've got a few other things that I'm gonna try . Blood says he's had that same problem off and on and I've even had it happen a couple of times while running CM7 so it's probably a Gmail thang . Heck , at least it will still sync manually . :cool:

LOL, hey man. sometimes you just gotta ask :D i lnow there have been a few times i was about to post a problem when :lightbulb: i found the answer staring me in the face.

just yesterday one of my friends complained to me that their stock unrooted epic 4g could no longer connect to 3g. and it had been that way since their latest update (3 weeks ago) he has no interest in modding (slowly changing him tho... :D ) but none the less, started to look into downgrading his phone to pre-update, which is very possible, and easy (Odin) when i thought to check one last thing... MENU>SETTINGS>WIRELESS &NETWORKS>MOBILE NETWORKS
turns out one of the 'features' of the update was to turn off 3g :eek:
just rechecked the box and its back to normal...

Hey wetbiker, couldn't resist to comment on this one. Had the same prob and started trying stuff and one that's working now for me is the mail app that comes with cm7, had a backup from TB, copied the the app to the card restored with TB and it's been working good for me...

OK, your talking about the Gmail app or the mail app? I've got both of them from CM7. Let me know which 1 and I'll give it a try. Thanks
 
DING DING DING !! We have a winner !!

Gmail apk from CM7 beta4 worked . App version 2.3.5.2 . This is gonna be one of those things like Facebook . They are doing a so-called update and they are actually making them worse . The older ones work better . Aint that some sh*t ? Heh , seems Boost is trying to follow in their footsteps w/ their new update huh ?:rolleyes:
