Root [ROM][CWM][KERNEL] CM7.2-RC1-requisite0 BETA2

prince you arent having any luck flashing these roms today lol first OA and now CM7. jeeze anyways you would better off not using CM7 since its very buggy. also you need metron2 to get 3G ie. MMS to work.

mind telling me what you did when you flashed this one. i tried all of the mms fixes that were reported to work, including that one, and none of them except metron2 worked. i figured i might have been flashing wrong seeing how you cant really find instructions anymore.

all the ones i tried:

  • MetrOFF-v1.3-MMS-GB-Edify-CM_AOSP-No-Roaming_indicator_Off_signed
  • MetrOFF.v1.1-MMS-GB-CM_AOSP
  • MetroMMSFIX[Gingerbread]_reppards_cwm_fix
  • MetrON
  • metron2

i mounted system and data and then flashed. been great all last night and this morning .thanks guys

unzip this .its a working apn then restore it with apn backup and restore then reboot phone.

is Alpha5 better then beta2

no there is a reason why it is called alpha5. req went through 5 alpha builds of cm7 which are the one that are buggy. think of like went games leaked and all those glitches and bug are there. then he made 2 beta builds, the current being the beta2 which is by far the most stable stable. think when the official game devs release the mostly finished product and it mostly works but there are still a few bugs evident,
it goes alpha<beta<finished product

Thank you verry much iv seem to become a little more familiar with this phone.Im ganna buy a new one and see if it can take OC Kernals and ill start tweaking with the builds till they meet my needs.....thank you so much .

buy it from Amazon, you can get the phone for $30 cheaper than from Metro. it wont be brand new but it will be like new, if thats okay with you lol
 
I'm not sure if this has been answered or not, I couldn't find anything in the search, but does anyone have any idea how to change the "Metro PCS" logo in the drop down menu? I would like to change it to "nTelos". Would I just edit the build.prop or what?

Edit: Also, I have tried searching for what to do about the 921 Play Store error but it omits "921" from the search because its too short. Any ideas?

Nah you have to edit eri.xml I think
