perhaps this will help someone else. i ended up bricking my phone during the cwm install. i unbricked my phone and reset back to stock by following the guide here:

YO PEEPS! I'm still alive! Good thing I touched base here after a long hiatus. Just got employment recently and was think about a new phone and carrier, then I found this. I've been out of the loop for a long while. Been on ROMZero forever, which wasn't a bad thing but stuff's really looking up with these Gingerbread Cyanogen roms. Damn good work gentlemen.

It's not really complicated at all. If you have the GNM recovery, just flash it like any other ROM. If you have CWM recovery, basically the same thing as well. As long a you have a recovery, just boot into it, and follow the procedures for that recovery. What all the major instructions are for, is to install CAN on our Optimus M. Since CWM didn't have an official recovery for the M, we need to follow the instructions listed to get it on our phone.

Hey PlayfulGod, great work on this ROM. I just wanted to report that after i updated to version 09192011, I'm having problems with my lockscreen. If I enable the option for Menu Unlock and disable the Unlock Slider then no clock, date, or battery information show up on my lockscreen. Also, sometimes when I change the theme of my phone and reboot, the theme selection is lost and it returns back to the default theme. I also cannot set up a Google account on my phone, neither through the phone or through the E-mail app. Any help on fixing these problems?

Works great on my optimus m. Huge thanks Reppard for the screen animation fix. I first seen that on my uncles moto atrix and wanted it since. Not to mention the screen comes right back up as well. No more tapping the screen for me.

are you sure? go to Settings>Account and Sync an add it there. Also, as far as the lockscreen go to Tablet Tweaks and disable it there. (Seems to work better then the main one)

I download FlashImage GUI so how do I get it to install CWM, sorry but I'm very new at this lol.

Put the CWM recovery on your sdcard, then open the FlashImage GUI app. Click the browse button and find the CWM recovery and slect it. Then go back to the main page and select the Recovery Image option, then go down and hit the Flash Image button. After that's done, boot into recovery, you should be good to go.

I thought I would check this ROM out; I think I made a mistake. I flashed everything; I booted the ROM. I get one boot screen; then I get a cursor for about a second and then another boot screen. It sits there, this arrow and circle thing going counterclockwise without end. Did I just brick my phone?

you're stuck in a bootloop. Boot back into CWM or whatever recovery you are using and wipe everything but the sdcard and reflash the ROM n gapps.

This ROM is incredible; how can I get swype to work on it?

No need to flash the kernel with latest build. Its best with the MMS fix to boot into the OS once b4 flashing it.

How can I get swype on there? I tried to email them to get a package, they never emailed me. I can't find a solid apk to dl and I am not sure how to get it recognized after that. Any ideas?

you have to sign up and get the swype beta. I have tried to add the one from the stock ROM on a few diff builds and all it does is FC on all of em. Once you get the apk you just press on it and install kinda like a program on your computer.

Try signing up again. If I remember correctly, I had to try twice before I got the email to download the installer.
