Root [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 Huawei M835

i want to suggest something to all m835 users, instead of using the CM7 port from the Ascend, you can alternatively use the CM7.2NIGHTLY port for the Huawei U8150. Everything is working 100% for me and it works 2x faster than the port for the m835.

Don't get me wrong, i love that port, but like it was said before; it is a bit sluggish and doesn't rotate. Even-thought this port helped me out allot, i think that the U8220 run smoother.

There was an update on January 30th, i'm installing it now and testing the bugs.

How did you install the U8150 ROM? I installed CMW using ROM manager, and tried to flash, but get an error on the install. Something about prop file and 8150, like it knows it's the wrong version.
 
if anyone can help, im running a virtual box version of linus and ubuntu 11.04. I am currently trying to set up the android kitchen. If a anyone can help, it would be aprreciated. Also, if you have any knowledge on this, I would like to know where i can fine the java6 bin and java6 jre files. The links ive been getting are bad.
 
i keep getting this error when i try to upgrade the rom

Somebody plaese help me! I have the Huawei M835 for MetroPCS, and I rooted it a couple of days ago, downloaded Titanium Backup with it. I moved everything to my 2GB SD card except the bloatware apps. I tried to uninstall them and it says cannot find apk files. Researched online for a little and read some forums saying that I had to download File Manager. I did this and looked through it for awhile and this did absolutely nothing(even tried uninstalling apps on Titanium Backup, but of course it didn't work). Now I am reading that I need to install Busybox, but I cannot because it says insufficient memory available. So basically I cant download it because my memory is full. Also It says that I am low on space, whenever it is just bloatware apps taking up all the space! And I also cant recieve text because it says that my text memory is full even though I don't have any text, because I deleted them all. Someone please help me and tell me what is the best solution that I should take, because I don't think I can return the phone because it is rooted now. Please try to give me a step-by-step guide and what I should have runnning in Titanium Backup! Much is appreciated!

I just flashed the cm7 ascend rom and changed the lcd density to 120, everything works pretty well after that except for occasional restarts, still trying to figure that out.
 
Im in love with CM6 for the ascend on my m835, works perfect. I removed some stuff, added gapps, and now its perfect. The phone thinks its a m860 lol. Biiiigg step up from stock or even Mate35, which worked great also just seemed too normal, still trying to be different.

I tried the CM7 for the u8150, seemed like everything would have worked, i just didn't want to fight the com.android.process thing.

Now i just need to learn how to flash it to cricket...
 
PlayfulGod, any chance you can give this one last sendoff? CM7 is winding down for the CM9 buildup so everything is pretty much set (sans major issues i guess)...

that and 2.3.7 runs better on my hero then 2.3.5 does... so I can only hope it will on my M835 as well...
