If your having trouble with pgs kernel try using gt's unsecure kernel. It will actually boot without freaking your phone out. Some phones just don't agree with certain kernels and it just so that the spirit is wacky with them in general. Some phones are lucky some aren't. Hope I helped
 
Hey PG ... any chance this will get any more work done on it? I'm sure you're busy. Just curious. I never got the hotspot to work with any app so I'm thinking its due to the 4G issue

Nope. I restore cm10 at night and use it until I need my hotspot than restore Samurai. If I make any major changes I just make a new backup of the ROM

PG is fine. I dont think he needs backup! Lol. We all know that when he has time he will do what he can .... period. If someone wants it done sooner than they can do it themselves (which we know won't happen). I agree with ya though, just give him time. It will be worth the wait
 
Hi guys,
Newbie to ROMs here; got an LG Spirit and am trying to flash it to the CM10 ROM.
1. I have already rooted it successfully (confirmed with root checker from play store)
2. On the SD card I already have the CM10.zip set and the gapps (from first post of this thread)
3. I guess here is where I am getting confused
 
Do not use TWRP manager. Use the LTE2 recovery app which you can find in these forums to apply the recovery patch than press reboot to reboot to recovery. After that just flash which ever ROM you want or flash a better recovery like the CWM Touch recovery we are using.

I posted a installer for a loki'd CWM too didnt I??? Pretty sure I added it to spirited_away and posted it anyhow. lol
 
Ok, got CM10 up and running; had to delete cache first... now my question is where is the play store shortcut? i did not install gapps; how can i install gapps or can't I go directly to the app store and download my apps?

Yup. Flash the gapps zip in recovery. And dont forget to change your network settings if you aren't getting 3G and stuck with 1x

I beg to differ, WIFI WORKS just fine in CM10!!! Data on the other hand I cant say as my spirit has no service, but it connects to the network and keeps time tho. :p lol

do me a favor and do a adb shell getprop and tell me what it has for default network type.


After you change it to what works that is. ;)
