Hi all you Spiriterz...
I tested GT's Icy Spirit v2.0 with his Freedom Kernel for about a week and a half. It ran flawless and never had a hiccup. I recently yearned to go the Jellybean route and flashed PG's [WIP] CM10 with his Plague Spirit kernel.
After about a week of testing this awesomeness, I have some questions.
*The post above of Mario's with the libs worked for me. I tried before with other links, which crashed my phone when extracting libs into my /system/lib folder and throw it into a boot loop where I couldn't get out of the Cyanogenmod boot logo. The link above I was able to download the .zip, extract the files to /system/lib with script manager. I just rebooted and fixed permission in recovery-advanced-fix permissions. Video now works just fine.
One thing I miss is the CRT-off screen animation. I have downloaded the .zip from the stickyd thread multiple times and tried flashing with recovery, but will again throw my phone into the boot loop. I am wonder if PG, you can maybe incorporate this feature into the next version? I'm not sure seeing as I don't know java, but seems like some simple executable script.
Occasionally I'll have an app unexpectedly close when I have my CPU turned up. If I stress it with multiple apps around 1.75ghz+ I'll start to have apps flake out.
I have had a great time so far with the CM10. Thanks to PG, GT, and the rest of you and please let me know if you need help with anything or just another tester.
