Root [ROM][DEV][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Spirit 4G

Ok so I tried to import contacts via vfc gimme and it reads that contacts are in, but it only shows me s-z, where's the rest of my contacts? I tried to sync Google and get 5 of every contact I backed up
 
Ok so I tried cm10 out over night, (runs super smooth btw) I just couldn't get my contacts to straighten out, almost like they kept disappearing our not loading all the way when I imported them from the v/cArd. Also I noticed that the Rom itself likes to read the internal memory first over having an option to read the sd like in tibu, or searching for the v/cards. Anyone else having these issues? I'd love to use it as my daily but the whole disappearing/reappearing contacts was bugging the crap outta me.

Hey Orko, just like you I started to use cm10 last night once again. I'm getting my 3G which is very slow but hey I'm getting some data, which it's been the only holdup from switching full time from the great Samurai by GT. Anyways, to your point I use this app which works great for me and never had I problem with it, give it a tried if you would like to.

Yea I probably should've mentioned the issues I was having was with go contacts, that's the one that was only showing half my contacts, in the cm contacts (people) all it was showing me was 5 copies of every contact in my list from Google.


The 3g only speeds don't really bother me too much as I only use data when I'm at work or out and about, at home I use Wi-Fi. And the Rom flies on Wi-Fi.
 
Hey guys any suggestions on video playback when recording a video with the camera app. Cuz when a record a vid and then play it, it plays choppy, the sound is there. I tried different from the market but it's the same. Thanks in advance.

Just experienced this yesterday. Recorded a crazy ass police chase and shootout, tried to show my wife and mine was choppy and didn't play right. The sound was there though... The first day I replaced the libs, I recorded and it worked fine...

I guess the crt screen animation is in the /libsurfaceflinger.so I don't know if I can take this lib from a ROM where the animation is on and push it in Cm10 and change permissions, or will this throw me into bootloop just like flashing the .zip

its in frameworks, and it wont work. It causes wake issues. ;)

Here's my best speeds if your still wondering(I've been up to 90k upload) . I'm in a 4g area too. I'll run a 4g speed test on my wife's Spirit...

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I'm too lazy to go searching through threads. How are you guys streaming videos from the web? I tried to manually place the stock spirit video & streaming video apks and they show up but f/c every time I try to play a video from the browser. It's there a method I should be using to integrate the stock spirit apks into CM10 or am I wasting my time trying? I'd also like to get the stock camera, camcorder & memo pad back, is this possible, or perhaps can you guys give any good suggestions on alternatives?

they are a bunch or libnexstreaming files in lib.
 
I added more to that post pg, and how do I mess with lib files? I'm not familiar with those, also I've noticed that the galleries I use have video players, but they only play in portrait not in landscape like the LG video streamer.

Download the omx_lib.zip or whatever it's called that Mario posted a few pages back. I use Es file explorer, extract the contents of the folder (all the lib files) into the system/lib folder and overwrite. Then, either with ROM manager or in recovery, fix permissions and reboot.

fix perms in recovery doesnt do jack ;)
 
No it didn't, I just tried it. Any clue why the f/c's on the LG stock apps when I try to run them after I've placed them in CM10 system/apps?

I use flashed CWMT. Fix Permissions works so well from CWM that they removed the option from CWM. Its purpose and use was for back on 2.1/2.2 b4 Google built the option to move apps to sdcard into 2.3+. Its been purdy useless since. ;)
