Root [ROM][DEV][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Spirit 4G

I felt the same way, I even bit the bullet and ran it for a week solid but trying to run YouTube videos or any video stream really on 3G was proving to be a pain, that and the internal video player isn't all that and wouldn't play certain app videos such as snap chat videos and such. I also was getting crap speeds on the 3G around my work, however on my home Wi-Fi it was AMAZING. I hope people are still working on this and it doesn't get put aside although I have the feeling it already has. I'd love to have CM10 fully functional, I don't think there's been a fully functioning CM for any devices I've used on metro at least since my first android the Huawei Ascend.

You mean to tell me creating awesome android roms isn't the only thing you do everyday all day? Sheesh, lol j/k sir I know you've got a lot going on being a dad/grampsters and all. I just don't want this to go the route of the CM LG connect project.. I mean we've already got it better than they do, but I'd love to see this be fully functional for a daily rom. Not that it couldn't be now, but the potential could be much much more.
 
So i switched the apns-config.xml with the one found in the stock rom and it makes your 1x stronger in speed (i get like 80-268kbs with no bars) Bluetooth is still a no go im all out of tricks on mobile i need my lapop xD
 
I just flashed this for the first time and although it doesn't show 4g on the status bar in about phone> status> mobile network type it says I'm connected to LTE:13. Everything else works fine except for Bluetooth. I think I'll stay with this since 3g is pretty fast here in Orlando. How do I access APN settings?

run a speed test to see if its getting lte speeds ;)
 
It's not picking up any data. That's why I want to know how to access apn settings to mess with them and see if that's' why its not picking up 4G. I have the phone on lte/cdma/evdo and it says it's connected to MetroPCS LTE:13 but it doesn't have any data.

I'm a spirit user in China, i got this phone by chance, it's really a good phone, but i have been troubled by the carrier settings by long time.

My carrier here is ChinaTelecom, which using cdma network. when I used the ROM based on stock rom such as "SAMURAI", by using the LG HIDDEN MENU, even if it displays MetroPCS, I can still use the phonecall&SMS in ChinaTelecom, but the phone just cant get on the internet, not even 1X. I though that's maybe apn problems, but my methods didn't work.

Maybe it's wrong, but i believe metropcs LIMITED the function for other service carriers in the stock rom.

Then I think that by using CM might make difference. but when i flash your rom, it's just keeping searching for metropcs, even if i edit the build.prop and other apn files. the phone just ignores me and keeps searching for metropcs. As you can see, I don't really understand how this works, and which file to edit.

After such long story, I wonder if sir, you can give me some advice, such as:

How to modify the default service carrier to change it from Metropcs to ChinaTelecom?

Should I add the information of China Telecom(such as mcc/mnc) in some certain files so as to make the network recognized by the phone? which files should I take care of?

If it's a task too huge, please just give some possible seasons or editable files paths, so i could study it out even all by myself.

I might be the only Spirit user in China, and i like this phone.have been in this forum for a long time,here might be my last hope.

By using the CDMA tool,made the phone read the RUIM instead of NV, and i can make the phone call and send SMS now, even though still can't use the data.
Seems like everything goes back to it used to be,cdma 1x no data,no 3g. still get error when trying to edit data or PPP in QPST/DFS.
If you have any suggestion, please let me know, will be a lot of help, Thanks a lot!
 
Flashed this last night and I LOVE it! I got it just the way I wanted it, 1x is not as fast as 4g but is way faster than stock but I just realized MMS isn't working. Does this have to do with 4g broken?
