Looks like there is a messaging app baked in:)

Works very well indeed. Can not seem to get the "dark theme" setting to stick though. Not that critical to some but kind of important to me. I hate the bright white setting on anything...............LOL

SORRY: the dark theme does indeed stick if I go into my settings and choose "Dark UI". It seems to over ride the messaging setting.

Thanks for an awesome rom :)

There's always been a messaging app baked in lol.

Really? I sure wish I had known that awhile ago. Dumbo me.

Goes to prove my statement that there are many, many parts of this rom that I know nothing about. A high five to you !

I'm on the latest test build 7/29 (just noticed there's a stable in the OP) pulled phone off charge before heading to work. 100% charged, checked the phone about 3hrs later with no use what so ever and was down to 95%. Check battery stats and WiFi has the biggest drain showing it has been running the entire time even though it is off, location and google accounts are also off. Never had this problem before, I will clean flash stable build tomorrow but just thought I would share.

This has happened to me before. Go into the WIFI and down on your lower right tik the 3 dots. Go under advanced and "untik" the "scanning always available".
This saves me a lot of battery. YMMV

Crap!! I forgot all about that....thank you!! :D

I'm going to be hoping on this badwagon soon with faux kernel. I finally had it with a wicked bug in Android L. I have to have a pin on my phone due to having a corporate exchange account, and when I unlock it using the pin the launcher bombs out and it goes back to the lock screen  This goes on indefinitely until I reboot the phone. So I figure it's about time I checked out this rom. :)

Nav bar ring randomly started being buggy today. Whenever I hold home to activate it and select Google now and the ring won't go away.
Selected Google app instead Google now so it works.

I am still getting this message upon boot. I close it and it does not seem to affect the rom but has me worried?
Does anyone know what this process does? Thanks
BTW...........tried flashing the stock rom again and never got this message. I only get it with the DU rom. I am using the 7.8 Official rom.

Hasn't happened to me. Any time you get an FC, grab a log of it and send it to me. That's really the only way that I can help you.

Is it just me or does the latest TBO Gapps (7/30) have a not-blacked-out Play Store? I miss my Blacked Out play Store. Maybe I should go back to the 7/06 version. Basically, just curious if there is a reason for this or is it a problem on my end?

I don't use it, so I honestly couldn't tell you. Are you using any themes?

Was using the TBO Gapps 7/06 and it was inverted. Just upgraded my Gapps to 7/30 and the Play Store is back to "normal".

It must be the Gapps that is doing it or some sort of compatibility with the latest DU.

If you figure it out, let us know if you will :)

Note: No themes used.

Nope. It seems to be the case that this version of the TBO Gapps has a non-blacked out Play store (I downloaded twicw and installed twice and installed on my Nexus 7) I posted in the DU XDA thread for Grouper as Spaceman uses it, so I'm hoping he'll get back to me eventually.

Not the end of the world, but I really like using the blacked out Play store.

I've too have received the "SystemUI has Stopped" error before on DU. I believe it was the last official build and I then I flashed the next latest test build and never experienced the issue again. Although I did not experience any Ill side affects other than the notification of the systemui stopped. It would only happen occasionally, it wasn't on every boot either though.
SystemUI is the System Interface and runs a lot of the user system features like status bar, themes, launchers and so forth.
Are you using a different or 3rd part launcher?
Are you using a theme or the Holo them? If so try switching back to a different theme or stock theme or light theme.
Any status bar changes?
I've also heard that the Facebook app can case this problem as well.

You could try going into /settings/apps/all/ and scroll to SystemUI and clear the data for it.
You could also do the same and clear the data for the Facebook app.
Alternatively you could flash a different version of DU or the latest test build from the DU Google+ and see if the SystemUI error persists.

No themes at all. I use Nova launcher and have made changes in the status bar. I am also using the Facebook app.
Have eliminated Gapps by flashing 3 different packages. You may indeed have something there when you call out the status bar. Got a pop up message stating that Android System UI is closing and it included some forgotten comment about the status bar...........hmmmmmmmmmm

Thanks for the help!

I also get this same message after clean flashing to the latest build however it only happens once and don't have any issues at all after I hit "OK". Only seems to happen just after flashing and after reinstalling my apps with TB. Of note I also use Nova and also changed some things in the status bar.
