My speeds have gone though the roof as well!

This rom is amazing, g60, you've made the triumph a great device! There's one thing driving me mad, however (isn't there always! :) ).

My Triumph deep sleeps, sometimes. Something is keeping it awak and I don't know what. If I reboot, it'll deep sleep fine for about 10-12 hours, but then stops going into deep sleep (and I am toggling wifi, I never use bt). Is there a way to find what app is preventing deep sleep? It's driving me nuts, I'll leave it sit, I mostly only use the stock browser, and after a while, it just stops going into deep sleep.

I've checked running services, nothing seems different between times the phone will deep sleep, and times it won't. A reboot fixes it, but I'm sick of rebooting twice a day. If I could get this resolved, I'd have the perfect phone (well, until I can save the money for the iPhone upgrade, which I refuse to do at the current price when I know a new iPhone is coming in less than 2 months, people who buy now are going to be so pissed!).

There is an app called BetterBatteryStats. I don't remember how I got it, but it's in the market.

What is driving me crazy is my wifi keeps turning on and off, this seemed to be a problem when I was running Froyocream Sandwhich as well.. wifi sleep policy is disabled.

+1 on BetterBatteryStats; I was able to isolate my wakelock problem down to the default email app hanging and then repeatedly trying to update; I froze it, and went with Googles gmail app and haven't had any more wakelock issues.

With CM7/G60Style and ADW.Launcher I'm really happy with this phone; it probably cost VM my order on an iphone :-)

Well I'm glad to hear that.

Well, I did as others suggested and bought BetterBatteryStats. As I feared, it was a waste of $3. It just tells me that bq275x0 is keeping the phone from deep sleep. What good is that? Seems that no one knows what causes this, what a disappointment. I wonder if a different kernel would help? Does anyone have any suggestions for other kernels to try that work well with this rom?

So you say that the app did what is was supposed to do? I think that that particular pID is for the battery unit. What kind of time did you have versus the time off of charge? And are you looking at wakelocks, and partial wakelocks, or process or other?

So I finally decided to try a newer ROM (been on TG final CM7) and I flashed this. Whats with the new font? It's terrible. Is there a way to get the regular CM7 font back on the phone?

Doesn't TG Reloaded use Roboto? I think g60's uses default Gingerbread font (DroidSans?)

Hey Silence, sorry, if you feel we (I) steered you down a bad path...

Did you look at the "Alarms" tab? It my tell you the number of times an application is waking up your phone. I suggest, you reboot your phone, then let it set for 30 minutes with wifi/bt off and then check the the "Alarms" tab to see if an application is hammering your wakelocks.

On my phone, Bq275x0 has only used 28sec (wakeloc) in the last 3.6 hours my phone has been in use. It is a battery process...

However, as you stated, Bq275x0 may be your problem, check this post by Whyzor: http://androidforums.com/3851943-post631.html

You may find the update (cm-7.2.0-rc1-g60style-r0.10) to the final release of CM7-Reloaded will "fix" your problem. It's not as "flashy" as CM7-Reloaded since it doesn't install ADW.Launcher by default (you can get custom launcher from the market). I found this ROM to be quite stable (author G60madman).

Don't take me wrong, I appreciate the help, I just have awful luck with this kind of stuff, and being a super broke college student means even $3 was hard to spend :) . I was already running the final update on a clean install, I wiped everything 3 times, installed the final clean and reinstalled apps, no apps were keeping the phone awake. Better Battery Stats said Bq275x0 was running for about 8hr30min in 8hr40min off charger.

No biggie. I just switched to the Sharp 2.2.2 rom, seems to do everything I need, and so far it's deep sleeping like a champ. Don't get me wrong, I'd still recommend this rom to others, I just has a bug most people don't.

Also, I can't wait to see what g60 does after he is able to right drivers from scratch, that's something to look forward to!

Is there a way to switch g60 to use Roboto (assuming Roboto is the font used by TG)

I'm not talking about the lockscreen font, but the font for icons on the screen, the settings menus, etc. The new one is just terrible. Looks like its pretty simple to change, but a flashable zip to set the fonts to TG's font's would be nice.

You may want to look at go launcher (free on the market). It will scan your system and show you all the available fonts you can load. It gave me about 35 different options.

ROM Toolbox (Pro?) will also download and install fonts...

yea our phone on custom roms has many fonts, you just need something like that to view the fonts or to change them

as for the discussion about the roboto, both the whyzor and g60 use something very close if not actually roboto, ive installed and selected roboto on both roms and changed the font of the whole phone to it and havent noticed a difference

ive even spoken to g60 and he said the same, he has installed and selected many different roboto font files and they all seem to look exactly the same as it did before installing

my thought is ive seen some of the roboto fonts replace a font already in the system, like droidsans, so it could be that whyzor,g60, or someone along the line actually swapped the droidsans for roboto and thats why there doesnt seem to be a difference, also just an fyi lockscreen fonts tend to be different looking then the system, normally thats the only place i immediately notice a difference

i did a quick search and found 2 posts on this forum and one on XDA that said bq275x0 has to do with the battery itself and it shouldn't be causing wakelocks, my best personal guess is there was an app that was directly tying up the battery

normally with any custom rom thats been labeled as stable, problems like random restarts, frozen screens or apps, and wakelocks all usually come back around to a rouge app or misbehaving app thats been installed, basically a user malfunction lol

granted sometimes weird things do happen from time to time lol

I found the Froyo fonts online, I'll either dl a font changing app or just adb push them and that should b that.

Had a few FC's on the market while jaming apps on my phone, but once I got everything up and running and rebooted seems to work great, other than the annoying font thing, but I just need 5 free minutes after my housework is done to fix that.

That's the one thing I love about Android, don't like something, you can probably change it :)

anyone else gettign poor connections/network speeds? I used to get 5 bars at home, now I get 1, maybe 2. I toggled airplane mode, rebooted, nothing, just real slow metowrk access. any ideas?

Does anyone get flickering soft keys when moving the phone? It seems like the brightness of the soft keys arent bright enough

There's a setting for the soft keys backlight. (From a home screen)hit menu--> CyanogenMod Settings--> Display settings--> Automatic backlight--> Edit other levels. You may need to change the number of levels (at the bottom) to get the changes to stick. It uses multiple of fours (4,8,12...) and the lowest is 4. I have mine set real low because when I'm reading at night it's low enough that I don't have to have it off.
