Root [ROM][FINAL] CM7 7.2 RC1 - g60 style [7.11.12]

CM7 7.2 final was released few days ago.
Can we expect and update for the Triumph?

g60madman was pretty clear that he's finished developing this rom. I've read a couple of people mentioning that they're interested in developing CM7, so keep a watch out for a new CM7 rom with a different name.

Since joining Team WX435 I have started rebuilding the triumph device files from scratch. I just got done updating the WX435 github with the new branch gb-release-7.2 however I have not even tested the build yet as I am currently downloading the repo. Right now development is going very slow as I am working on the new device files, one of the big changes is I am now building our keyboard files from source code and not copying from Froyo which means they work much better! Also lots of changes have been implemented in 7.2.0 and it's not as easy as copy paste into the new files. I tried building prior to 7.2.0 being released and I was not able to build at all.

So right now there is no time line on 7.2.0 but know Team WX435 is working it!

im not sure but im ahving wifi issues...i have the network recognize but when i try to connect, it goes straight to disabled....

you can try, just to restart the phone, after it restarts and you enable the wifi give it a few seconds before trying to connect

idk if its just me, or if its just in my head, but for me personally the wifi always seems to connect faster if i stay inside the wifi settings area where it actually shows the available connections until i see it say connected

i did. for some reason though its not my phone. i went back to cm9 with nandoid and i was able to connect to wifi without issue. im going to try again. factory reset etc..

If you have Sony mods or v6 mods flashed from mobstergunz wifi is funny but IM mostly data so its worth it and to fix it just reflash the rom

yea thats strange, it may always be an app or something(what app i have no idea, but ive seen most random problems with roms that so far work awesome sometime come back around to the apps)

so far ive been running the G60 Final for about a week, maybe a lil more, and my wifi has never given me an issue, i thought it was giving me an issue for awhile but it turned out i saved a mistyped wifi password lol

[ROM][FINAL] CM7 7.2 rc1 for triumph works great and everything works. I do a lot of tethering not wireless tethering. The camera takes great pictures ,and record perfect videos too. Thank You g60madmang

g60madman: Just wanted thank you for your work. I wish you well.
MikeRL: Are you going to still work on documentation: I am still having issues correctly loading this rom, ie do not have the g60 splash logo, so I am not sure I have the complete file. I read still not sure the correct update from current cm7.
Also, I want to flash back to stock for PRL update, I've read and know there may not be any real changes, but I travel into rural PA and updates may help.
I guess I missing understanding correct way to flashback get my code and then update PRL, then back to cm7 for further PRL trials. THanks again.

Thanks I am doing well and working on CM 7.2.0 the newest released version from Cyanongenmod. As for the G60 boot animation here is the download thread. Make sure to download the flashable one

g60madman, as you suggested I went ahead and installed g60 stile CM7, and it's exactly what I've been looking for, but just like in the other thread, I'm still getting sluggush response for the touchscreen  Any suggestions?

When you installed g60 did you do a full wipe and reload, along with dalvik cache? I have never seen sluggishness accept for viewing actual video's. It's fairly quick on the response, but I have noticed issues with the keyboard not always picking up responses.

Yes, first I did factory reset, then wipe cache, then dalvik cache, then installed the g60 zip along with gaps and google talk

Edit: The lock screen is buttery smooth, as is navigating the menus. Just scrolling through the homepage and app drawer is a big sluggish

My screen stopped rotating. Probably not related to ROM but does anyone know how to test the accelerometer or have a solution based on experience? Thought I would post here since this is the ROM I'm using. (I think its a hardware issue)

EDIT: This post may be deleted. After two reboots, rotation issue has disappeared. :)

This maybe an issue with the launcher2.apk. I know IsaccJ did some personal edits on the launcher to make it move a little more crisp for himself.

Have you installed another launcher like Holo Launcher, or Zeam? Since it sounds like you like simplistic I would recommend Zeam as it's closer to stock. Holo Launcher has more of an Ice Cream Sandwich feel. Both launcher are very small around 400k or something. Let me know.

Thanks, but I have a feeling it is a problem with something I might have done, as when I was running Froyocream Sandwhich it was smoother.. hmmm. I tried to use Zeam launcher, and while it is a bit better, it's still not quite as smooth as it should. Or maybe its just me?

I had the same problem. It was caused by a game I was playing. It wouldn't release the rotation lock. I could still test the the accelerometers, the UI just wouldn't respond. And rebooting would always fix it for me.

This ROM + Holo launcher + Cynocream theme = the best my phone has ever run.

As long as I have this ROM, I don't think I will ever switch phones. This one is as good as any.

Maybe it's just me.. after re-flashing, it doesn’t seem so choppy but still a bit slow. Oh well, I really shouldn’t complain, I have stock gingerbread will no bloatware :) I will stick to this ROM, great job g60! You, as well as the other devs, are greatly appreciated! :D

I can't wait! I bet it's gonna be great! By the way, thanks for sticking with us :) I have decided to hold on to my Triumph for a while.

Yeah I don't plan on going anywhere. I have insurance on the phone so I assume if I killed it I would get a new Triumph. Today I was holding it in my palm and moved my thumb up to lower the volume and the headphones disconnected and it started playing music from the main player through the speakers, even though I was listening to pandora. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
