Root [ROM] GB-CMod7-Beta

i only have issues with angry birds when its moved to the sd card, and same for other applications... seems like the first version of this rom with the virgin mobile banner was more stable when it comes to apps

If you have problems with an app force closing please go to manage apps and move it to your phone which if you have an ext partition its actually being moved there and all should be fine.

reppard, I'm running everything from the phone's core memory. (not on the SD, I have not an ext3 partition)

Noom Cardio Trainer, GasBuddy app, and the File Explorer program that comes on your ROM (don't think it was RootExplorer) crash (FC) the instant they are launched, just to name a few.

Believe me, I'd love nothing more on my phone than to be using your ROM right now. If I could get CardioTrainer stable, damn everything else.

I'm nearing 20 pounds lost using Noom, which is why I'm so adamant about using it.

I've been curious whether or not it has anything to do with phones that started as 2.2 instead of 2.2.1, I don't have enough data to make that claim.

AND......here's a kicker, but don't know if it's a fluke or not. I can not get this rom to work at all going from RomZero, which is 2.2, but can get it working when going from SenseRom which is 2.2.1.

^Yea, my real GPS is "reliable", and oddly enough, even though the aGPS does not work like it should, Google maps will, in fact, locate with aGPS. I'm really at a loss.

Google maps is the only software I can get to utilize the aGPS. It didn't work the first time I tried, or I didn't let it sit long enough. But it did eventually locate, albeit on the wrong side of town.

Endomondo, Noom, GasBuddy, Angry Birds, RootExplorer all crash for me when I try and start them. I've tried them on the phone memory, SD card etc still FC. Google maps works fine and aGPS and GPS works fine.

Coming from 2.2 stock straight to this rom.

Edit: Oh and MMS isn't working for me, even after flashing the MMS patch

i think gasbuddy only works in froyo because i went to the market online and tryed to download it to my phone and were you select your phone it's not highlighted.

Yes, like blaxican pointed out with the assistance of android market, most likely if you(general) are having FC issues on this rom with your(general) apps it's probably cuz they are not GB compatible.

Even if AGPS is not working correctly I don't see how this would FC an app. If it did, I'd consider it crappy coding and to get a different app.

The only real issues that we can even start to address are the Bluetooth and lack of AGPS(i consider it a feature :D) and some other minor tweaks.

Ok so here is a problem for me. I was trying to use my main 8gb sd card for other purposes and I deleted the ext 3 partition and then when I put all my documents back on it with the ext 3 partition then my phone wouldnt recognize the nand folder while I was in recovery. So THEN I wiped all user data because things went screwy with the rom and I didnt flash the rom again so everything is all well and good BUT the phone auto rotates no matter what I do. Just thought I would share that in case anyone else has had that happen. Gonna reflash the rom and everything will be all good. Oh and I put a new portion on my newb guide- ext 3 partition deletion (in case some of the newbs wanted to)

Did you try wiping rotation settings in recovery?

Ok so I re-flashed my rom and everything was wiped and yet still the rom decides to just rotate whenever it pleases whilst on home-screen. This is just a minor annoyance but meh.... I unchecked both rotate settings on phone and cyanogen settings. I am gonna try putting launcher pro on and see what happens. anyone else care to weigh in?

I haven't done anything other that flash this ROM to my phone and it has always said MetroPCS, not Virgin Mobile. Not sure if there was an update to this or not but I am not complaining!
