Root [ROM] GingerSteem Extreme for LG Esteem MS910

just wondering why the battery icon cant be changed when using rom toolbox it works on stock but not on any of the roms?
 
I dont care for rom toolbox, but when i use SetCPU my phone starts locking up and i have to go into recovery... i want speed but i need the profiles that setCPU offers...
 
I was rockin the Razr animation on stock ahaha Sweet now I dont have to chnge it to match my theme. :D
 
Sweet animation, sweet rom, and sweet kernel! OC'd at 1.8ghz and running smoothly, willing to try 1.9ghz if possible.
 
Wish I could go to 1.8 the farthest I can go is 1.5 without it rebooting. I wish all the phones were the same. This sucks.
 
So whats the difference between this one and gingersteem.?

Also can I have that kernel please. I don't want to install the ROM again....
 
Ummm.... odd issue here. If I have my Max at 1.8 and my low at 122 and play a game or browse the web or do something to shoves it to 1.8 it rebooted. If I set the Max and min at 1.8, I don't have an issue at all.

Dont set your min so low. I bump mine up a notch to 368 from 245
 
Wooooow everytime I look I see new things posted for the Esteem =D Question though. Right now I'm only rooted and just finished flashing CWM successfully. Do I just flash this as stated in the instructions and I shouldn't have any trouble? This is my 1st ROM on the LG and I don't want to risk anything with the phone. I've flashed before with a Samsung Vibrant so I'm familiar with the flashing basics. Please let me know and thanks =]

follow the instructions and you'll be fine. I flashed two roms so far without a problem. its really easy if you follow the instructions
 
idk if i'm the only one having this problem but Astro file manager doesnt work. FC all the time, wont even load




nvm i updated it from the market and it works just fine.
 
Start at stock>> rooted>>PG kernel and smooth at 1.7 max without any problem at all>> I just did the esteemed but it said something like boot failed. After that I did reboot, now Iam back at metro phone with a brand new phone setting bla.....
It is on the older firmware
I did installed the esteemed directly to phone within 12 minutes
then followed the instruction.
Would somebody point to me which part I missed please?
But I see the kernel still PKernel with something....@monster...
Is my phone unrooted now?

Do you have Superuser installed?

Correct, I used mt's Gingersteem as a base for mine. Biggest diff is the kernel, others are just minor additions.

I tried editing the eri.xml in the framework-res but it resulted in a bootloop. lol

Would you please upload the 1.8ghz kernel individually to flash it ?
