Root [ROM/Kernel] Stock++

Went back to CWM 5027 and restored my back up.. Works great. Google play works fine.
Then re did the steps to get Kernal/Stock++, Flashed to Monter 4 + Monster 4 Update Fix, Flashed Beats Audio..

Hopefully this time its not buggy n trippy..

Will update later..

Overall Stock++ worked fine on my phone except when i would be using some apps frequently It just closes the app and what im doing without it saying anything...
Having alot of rebooting problems when running quite a few apps..

Im going to return to stock using ODIN (PRE ROOTED PDA) + CWM 5027

Then going to Re do the steps on installing Stock++

aslo, does the system have to be mounted before I flash to STOCK++ or leave it "unmounted" ?

When i installed this. Everything works fine but my 3g signal or 1x want even show. so my internet or market want work unless i use wifi.

how do i fix this ?

Having the same problem... Even started a thread about it. Keep us updated on if you fix it.

Finally broke down and got this. Had trouble first time, but tried it a second and no problem at all. Running it at 850 but still stable at 900. Nice work

His problem definitely seem more indicative of a bad overclock than your symptoms entail.

In either case, keep bringing the clock speed down a setting for a few hours (or a day) and see if that fixes anything.

If you've ever had any experience with overclocking PC's, it kinda the same thing. Not every CPU (the actual physical processor inside your phone) is created equal, and some will overclock better than others, and the overclockability is usually linked with heat issues. Some chips just stay cooler than others, man is not perfect, and anything man creates is inherently flawed, some more than others.

tl;dr: Clock down (800MHz is the lowest I'd go, as it's "stock"), and wait. If you're still getting issues, try reflashing and stripping down to just the bare essentials of apps you need, adding them back in increments until you start having the problems again. Then you've probably found your culprit.

Yeah, my old alienware PC I overclocked the crap out of it, has my fair share of stress testing. I even stress tested my phone at 900 and there was no crash... Only reason I made my thread. I knew it had to be something else.

Will probably reflash and try your suggestion with the apps. Thank you again for all your help.

Well... Honestly I have no idea what happened. I tried this Kernel, my phone got screwed up, and I spent the last hour reinstalling the other cwm and going to my monster 4 backup. Anyways my question is that, do I still have this kernel installed or did the back up remove all of that completely? I just don't want anymore problems and surprises. Probably something on my end, but I just want to get back to normal and try again another day >.<

so can someone confirm that this won't work without CM7...

I would like to install Admiral Beast over Stock++ unless someone can change my mind... mainly for the data/signal upgrades with the Beast... i get crappy reception out here so i need all the help i can... :P

Stock++ is its own kernel/ROM. It should work with almost any ROM.

not being a jerk by any means but that makes no sense... let me re-frase what i said i would prefer to have Admiral Beast due to the data/reception increases it says it has.. but if someone thinks the Stock++ rom is better i'll go with it instead... like i said im only favoring the Beast for the data/signal increase...

also im trying out the Stock++ with the kernal... can someone walk me thru installing it... like do i need to mount anything what exactly needs to be wiped.. then which to install first? the Kernel then stock++? or at the same time? idk i need a lil help..

I personally like stock++ over anything else. My phone has never ran so smooth.

To install, flash the cwm file(kernel). Then wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache then advanced>clear dalvik cache. Wait 5-10mins for cache to build up. Then flash stock++.zip

when you say wait 5-10mins for cache does that mean with the phone on? or in CWM?

In cwm. Mine didn't work the first time. I flashed it again and its good.

If your in the phone and the installation worked download set CPU from the market and you can overclock to 900 mhz

I haven't done anything with those. Do it if you think you can.

Hi everyone,
I've Loaded stock ++ on my everyday used phone.
It Has been working very well when metro hasn,t
had their Data off line. I did a backup when I
installed it and haven't put any thing but quadrant
and su and quick-boot on the phone.
When I Boot in Recovery I get THIS:
"
CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.8
E:Can't open /cashe/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cashe/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cashe/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cashe/recovery/Last_log
"
Is This A problem and does anyone Know how to fix it?
