Root [ROM/Kernel] Stock++

TO GET BACK TO CWM 5027
refer to this thread. http://androidforums.com/admire-all...-recovery-not-compatible-rom-manager-yet.html make sure you download all the files 100%

1. turn your phone all the way off.
2. open odin on your pc
3. with your phone OFF, plug in usb cble to computer and the phone
4. with your phone still off..press and hold the volume down, back, and power buttons until you see the download mode screen.
5. press volume up
6. odin should see your phone in the first port, so click on the "select ops" button and select the schr720.ops file
7. click on the PDA button, select the "admire-cwm" tar file. disregard "not valid image file" popup. just close the popup.
8. Press start. wait till the process is done, it will show you and it will reboot your phone.
9. open cwm 5027 recovery, do whatever wiping is necessary and then flash your backup.
10. hope this helps.

works fine for me everytime, not doing anything special other than just reading the instructions.

Dude, just download the original CWM zip in the OP. You can flash it in 5.0.2.8, and it'll take you back to 5.0.2.7.

How the hell do you guys get as far as flashing a ROM if you can't read?

Bah.

where does it say in the OP that you can flash it thru 5.0.2.8?

Wait, I want to go back to stock, but your recovery won't let me!?
Don't panic, just install SuigintouLain's original CWM and restore from your nandroid backup you made earlier. (You DID make one, didn't you?)

calm yourself. trying to help the guy.

You're downloading the CWM tar from that thread. The zip linked in the OP is a CWM flashable zip that you can flash on 5.0.2.8 to go back to 5.0.2.7.

Yet again, reading comprehension.

And no, I don't need a hug, I need people to read before they clutter a thread with questions that have already been answered a thousand times over. I started these projects to help the community out, and all I've gotten in return are headaches.

cant read whats not there.
nowhere did i say to download the link in your op, thats why i included the link to the other thread, seeing as he was having problems trying to flash yours.
and again, theres nothing in your op about flashing the old cwm thru your recovery.

see where it doesnt say "you can install this thru my recovery because it is a custom zip i made to allow you to flash thru my cwm 5.0.2.8"?

So I can say 'install' in every other occurrence in the thread, and you clearly know what I'm talking about, but for this specific case, you're completely incapable of comprehending context? K.

lol, i do. other people, not so much. thats why i havent had problem ONE since flashing your rom the first time, and i havent needed to go back to the old cwm since.
all i did was explain to the guy how to get back to the old cwm thru odin, since he was having problems with the link you posted.
pretty understandable imo.

Req is correct, the only reason you should use Odin is if your cwm isn't working what so ever. (Which I ran into once) after you flash just navigate to advanced and reboot recovery
i understand that. the other guy who was having problems doesnt. reading thru his posts it seemed he was flashing the link req posted thru odin.

okokok it worked i'm back to admirial beast. the new backup is back on the shelf. I did back up the coolist rom but if it could of behaved i would
still be using it. THANK YOU.

is flash odin and install CWM......

AIEN'T I A *ick

Thanks a lot, oxygen is based from the stock ++ rom so no wonder is was flying lol

I tried installing this again but think I did something wrong but not sure what. Power control widgets like the stock one and Widgetoids were not working, had some issues with the SD card not wanting to mount a few times, benchmark scores were not much higher than stock, and for some reason script manager would not run scripts (I tried the smurfed out stuff). I'm pretty sure I just got an incomplete download or transfer to the SD card since I started seeing can't mount cache errors right away with the new CWM, but I just want to make sure I did all of the steps properly and didn't leave something out or do something wrong.

1) Wiped and formatted everything, cleared delvik cache and battery stats
2) Flashed the new CWM and restarted CWM
3) Wiped everything again
4) Got a "bad" error trying to instal Stock++ the first time, so I restarted CWM again
5) Flashed Stock++
6) Cleared everything...again
7) Formated SD card

Any idea what I did wrong if it wasn't just a bad download?
