Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

Well, not sure then. The wimax issue was reported though, and I had the same issue too. If I play music over headphones and turn on 4G, the phone freezes, the audio becomes this flat tone as if its flatlining, and restarts.

My only other guess is that you either need to reflash clearing cache or backup and factory reset if you want wifi working.

As for my case of wifi not working, I happened to flash the ICS theme, upgraded the ROM without flashing it, and wifi would not turn on until I reflashed with that theme. (Just putting that out there for anyone who might happen to have that same issue)

Same here. After installing GNow zip over the top of midnight 1.1.6, I renamed the file GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk in system/app to GoogleQuickSearchBox.bak. Google Now began working immediately. The voice recognition is very impressive, but I'm finding that I can get it to 'hang' if I use it continuously.
 
is it possible for you to start uploading the changelog to goomanager so when we look at the update it tells us on there what has been changed and thus a google search is no longer necessary? This would be awesome of you.

I was going to post an update, and it would of been up by now...but I wasn't able to make gpu overclock settings stick with the new version of the kernel. And wifi wasn't working right. Stupid kernel command line >.<
 
Can we get a mirror? Maybe even in the op? pwease:D DLing from the Goo.im and its been like 30 minutes and its at 30mb/376mb lol. Says 10 hours left :(

Finally got it downloaded it only took around 3 hours lol
 
New version is uploading right now. Will probably be up by tonight (Uploading with 3G SUCKS!)

Here's the changelog. It'll be a while before it's up. Goo manager should auto tell you ^_^

The update is still going. I had to restart it because a new kernel version was posted, and 3.1.2 was having reboot issues.

goo.im has been having server issues today. They're usually very good.

I'd be careful about posting that link though. If too many people download it, dropbox automatically bans public linking on your account for everything. (Bandwidth purposes)
 
So this may be really simple but I can't get the rom to install. Keeps telling me:

-- Verify md5 for /sdcard/ROM's/MidnightRom116.zip
-- Md5 did not match
-- Aborting install
Install from sdcard complete.

I'm so confused as this is my first try at an htc unlock (first was the easy triumph) Any explanations?
 
What recovery are you using? had the same problem with this and other ROMS, but after I switch to 4ext recovery (from TWRP), they all flashed with no problem at all.
 
Anybody having trouble with MMS? I'm using the AOSP theme (which includes the AOSP mms.apk) and I can't send pictures.

It's probably the app causing it but I'm not sure. Haven't gotten around to flashing the stock sense messaging app.

Seems like a bad download.





goo.im is still having problems today. I have the newest version uploaded to my dropbox and I'm ready to ssh it over to the goo servers, but they aren't responding :|

Seems like it underclocks and uses some memory management while the screen is off, which this ROM already helps with. Install it if you want but IMO it's not worth the extra trouble if you already have an underclocking ROM.
