Just wanted to post some of my scores i've got with this rom. running fast and smooth as always...
New version is a go! Testing it right now to make sure everything is working properly. Seems that the first boot takes a few seconds longer for the setup to start, but besides that, everything seems to be working awesomely.
For those with S-OFF and a downgraded hboot, you should DEFINITELY update your radio to the latest version.
Here is a link to 1.09.00.0706

Just put that in the root of your SD card, reboot to bootloader, and it should do the rest.
Then, after that's flashed, go into recovery (it should say that it's in safe mode), do the "wipe everything except sd card", reboot recovery again, then flash the new rom.
There's a big difference. Texts and mms seem to send and receive faster, calls seem to connect faster, etc etc.
i'm just using the play music app on the phone instead of the standard htc music app for the time being. Not sure why you need to use 2 apps....
Need some help with no frills cpu control... Do you set a min/max clock freq. AND a governor setting, or does choosing a governor setting automatically select a min/max clock for you? So you can basically choose a preset (choose from governor) or use custom settings (set your own min/max)? What do the i/o scheduler options do? Has anyone noticed any ill effects of setting the clock to the max freq. 1.728? Does it overheat? I know on stock this thing could wig out and get hot sometimes, usually leading to unpredictable behavior, hoping to avoid that. How does all this affect battery life, big difference, not noticeable, somewhere in between? Thanks for any tips on using this.
Big thanks for the awesome rom!

But still wondering about how the evo responds to overclocking, any overheating?
I'm having a problem on the newest version. I did a fill wipe also. When I set my phone down from using it and say 10 min later wake it up it seems real slow to respond. Like lag. Is anyone else having this issue? Everything else seems to be functioning great so far. Can someone help with this issue? Thanks
Wifi won't turn on for me even after a re-flash
Im getting a wifi error. Try to turn it on and it just says error and remains grayed out. I think it first happened when i moved from 125 to 127. Just tried 129 and had the same problem. Tried factory reset didnt change anything. Gonna try 130 and see if that fixes the problem.
Edit** Tried flashing 125 again still dont get wifi error. As soon as i restore back to the shooter stock rom it works fine.
Any ideas? Love the rom just need wifi more than i need the rom.
Hey all ive been seeing that there is a problem with your stock player. The problem is Beats Audio. To fix for now just change the sound enhancer to HTC enhancer until the problem is hopefully fixed next update. Hope this helps someone:smokingsomb:
I have been using midnight rom for a day now on my htc evo v 4g, and i have noticed some issues. First i can't see SmartassV2, lagfree, and xondemand as available governors. Second when I go to default LeeDroid tweaks, my system ui continuously crashes; i have to be on default sense 3.6 for it to work. and also my wifi signal icon randomly goes to zero bars, but it still has full strength.
Does anybody have any fixes for these issues?

Do I need to flash a new rom for this to work, or did you just happen to have a new rom version and radio version at the same time? I'm on 1.3 rom and don't want to wipe everything if I don't have to.
So here's my story in case it helps anyone. I flashed the 4g hack to see if it would give me faster speeds while I was on MidnightRom 1.1.2 and noticed faster speeds. When I updated to MidnightRom 1.3.0 using 4EXT, my 4g and Wifi gave me errors. I did a full wipe in case it was from the 4g hack from the last rom, and tried reinstalling the rom many times without any success. I decided that it was time to go S-OFF. After successfully doing so, I reinstalled MidnightRom 1.3.0 and I no longer have any problems!

I flashed this ROM and love it (minus the current Beats issue, but very happy to hear a new version is on the horizon ) but I have a question. Of course I am rooted, but how do I flash the kernel for this ROM since I am S-ON still. I don't know where to find the kernel zip or file. Any help is appreciated.
You can use this tutorial: http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-a...ing-evo-v-4g-roms-kernels-using-fastboot.html
I followed that Guide to the 'T'. What I'm asking is where can I find the kernel that comes with this ROM. I am S-ON still so I thought I had to flash the kernel after I flashed this ROM? I just don't where to find the kernel. If I choose to the Midnight zip again I would just be flashing the Rom again.
If any of that made sense...
i heard good things about this rom. And good to know an update is coming...
Is there an hboot requirement on this? I am S-OFF with hboot 1.4, do I need to get an upgraded version?

fastboot devices
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
I've decided to just do the wire trick to achieve S-Off. Does anyone know if I can use this ROM or must I flash to a stock ROM?
Thank you for the quick replyYou can use this one ^_^
Thank you for the quick reply
Best ROM I have ever used. By far.
Can you post a link to the 4g hack you are using? And can you tell me what it does exactly because if it improves 4g performance then i definitely want it
bmxerkid954 said:For 3G, you can also up the speeds on it.
1. Get your MSL, MSL reader in the market
2. After you have your MSL go to your phone and type ##3282#
3. Click Edit Mode
4. Click Advanced
5. Scroll down to HTTP PD Proxy Port & HTTP PD Proxy Address
6. Change HTTP PD Proxy Port to 0 (zero)
7. Change HTTP PD Proxy Address to 0.0.0.0
8. You'll have a .20-.60 mbps increase in 3G speeds.
I went from 114kb/s to 222kb/s with a really poor reception...so it helps sometimes.
Here's how you do the 3G tweaks for the virgin phone
When you reach step 4, instead of hitting 'advanced', hit DSS.
Change the DSS Proxy Server IP Address to 0.0.0.0
Change the DSS Proxy Server Port to 0
I tested 3g twice before I did the tweaks, and twice afterwards. Before, I got 218kbps and 310kpbs. After the tweaks I got 1108kbps and 1082kpbs
bmxerkid954 said:1)You need to go to your EPST menu by ##3282#
2)Edit mode. Enter MSL
3)Tap WiMAX, and scroll to (about) the middle.
4)Look for a section called " WiMAX_Entry_RX(RSSI)(dBm) " and change this from -89 to -109, this will allow a further distance reception.
5)Press MENU, and Commit Modifications!
It seems that you can't overclock beyond 1296 GHz now? Also after the first opening the CPU settings in kernel tuner don't want to open. Everything else looking good so far. Thanks for the great ROM.
OK. the cpu settings do open after awhile. It just takes a long time but still no overclocking past 1296... Also my governor was set to ondemand by default not xondemand... Do I need to reflash?
