Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM7 build 2013-03-03

The code was alpha that wsimon wrote. The break down is HDMI was never included in the cm7 code. wsimon did a good job writing the code using lots of issacj's gingerbread-experimental branch which issacj started to get HDMI working. Its possible we could spend more time on it but we will be moving to cm9 really soon which natively includes HDMI and spend our time solving that and the camera. Its just a matter of time and coding and we should hopefully have a fully functional ROM.

Is there any way we can get this on the rom?

Are you sure you want that? It would require the phone to be awake to respond to the swype. That means no deepsleep. Mad battery drain. If you notice, in the video the guy has it plugged in.

Well, I would be willing to at least try it and see if there is a significant difference in battery life. Besides doesn't the rom already not deepsleep while wifi is on?

Well, yeah. That's when the WiFi is enables. I guess if you didn't mind the battery drain it could be a cool feature.

maybe when I get the new rig I can look into it, I need to see if the source code is available.

Edit: It may or may not work. On that phone the system has a way of keeping the capasitive buttons on without needing to keep the whole phone awake. I don't know if our architecture allows that.

Thanks for at least looking in to it. Just thought it would be a cool feature to have.

New version released. Camera is now fully functional!

Awesome! Does this include main camera autofocus? Or should autofocus be working already? It hasn't worked for me since the g60style release that broke it, it just snaps to a really short focus distance and keeps it there when I try to take a photo with autofocus enabled, but stays set to a general distance focus (5ft to infinity) when I take a photo with it disabled.

This Rom works good, but the front camera doesn't work right.
The front camera works side ways.
Thanks Devs for your hard work.

One thing though...on the pre 8/6 builds temple run played fine and wouldn't freeze. And with the new 8/6 build temple run freezes. I think it has to do with the new GPU drivers.

I've noticed the new Temple Run build freezing too. For me, I tracked it down to network connectivity. If I droidwall block TR from the network, the lockup is 100% reproducible. If I unblock it, it generally works fine. If I play it with a sketchy data connection, I get random lockups.

Hope that helps.

I am not sure of that issue. It does focus and take the picture by default and you can do a long press to focus and let off to take the picture. Let me me know if its still a problem.

Beautiful!!! Nice work GMan

I flashed from Reloaded and right now there is not one bad CM7 ROM out there. Thanks to all who work so hard on these bad boys!!!!!

I can't tell you how excited I am for this ROM! I just installed today's update, and can't wait until the camera click is fixed (I don't really care about HDMI, myself). You guys have learned so much about the Triumph, and done such a magnificent job with this community, that I just can't thank you enough.

My experiences with android have been pretty bad, to say the least (maybe that's Motorola's fault), but thanks to your hard work I at least have a workable phone.

I just really wanted to say thank you. Thank you from me. Thank you from the community. Thank you for just being decent, hard working folk! :)

Quick question. I am dealing with a bout of Bells Palsy right now and I am having trouble with my left eye focusing so it's PITA to try and find how to eliminate the bubble background for the icon labels. Could someone point me in the right direction please? :hello:

I just flashed this over the 0806 version. I made sure to wipe both caches first though. Everything seems to be in working order. I did not want to do a full wipe and lose everything.

It may work but its possible some stuff didn't update properly. The best route is to install titanium backup and back up the apps. Then do a full wipe and wipe dalvik. Then rom and then gapps. But hey if it seems ok then it seems ok :)

I'm not currently on this ROM, but I'm guessing that any icon label background option would be in the launcher settings. I don't see any CM7 (g60 Style ROM) settings that address this...
