Yeah everything seems fine knock on wood. The thing is I have a buttload of apps installed on my phone and it is just a pain in the arse to do a full wipe and then get everything back working again. I would do a full wipe if I was flashing a totally different ROM though. Since these ROMS are so similar I thought that if I just wipe both caches before flashing everything would be fine.
 
It's very much personal preferences, the DEVs are saying do the full wipe before reporting some bugs.
I usually flash it over previous build but I had a problem flashing 0806 over 0801 build, so sometimes just to be sure you want to eliminate all other factors.

I've noticed the new Temple Run build freezing too. For me, I tracked it down to network connectivity. If I droidwall block TR from the network, the lockup is 100% reproducible. If I unblock it, it generally works fine. If I play it with a sketchy data connection, I get random lockups.

Very similar problem with video playback. I noticed if I'm in one location with no movement video playback can be better, as soon as I'm on the bus/car/train and signal is jumpy and get frame freezes.
 
For those using the latest version of this ROM, how does the GPS lock speed compare to the SHARP ROM? Are you guys getting lock times <5 seconds?

Depending on the amount of changes I can also some times get away without doing a full data wipe but is the first thing I do if I run into an issue clearing an apps data or cache wipe doesn't take care. Realize not everyone is going to do a full wipe every time but should then be careful when reporting bugs and should always try and reproduce the issue after doing a full data wipe before posting. Especially when the project is beta and the code can change considerably from one version to the next. just less of a hastle for everyone and saves the developers and testers time that could be spent on other things.

We had it down to 2 second locks but it was eating the battery like crazy. Its taking a while right now in the current 0808 build but chairshot will be pushing some more fixes tonight to speed it up again. Also agps is working as well even though there is no options in cm7 like the sharp rom.
 
So I installed the 8/8 update this morning. Everything seems great, but my phone is not deep sleeping with Wifi on, once I turn it off, deep sleep is almost immediate. Any suggestions? And of course I did a full wipe before install.
 
Since this ROM is almost perfect when are you going to wrap it up, call it the final version, and start working on CM9? I'm still running your g60 version due to the rapid release schedule of this ROM. I'll flash to this when you push the final version lol. BTW, thank you Chairshot215, dsmryder, and g60madman for your amazing work!

On the latest build I had to do a full wipe and start from scratch to get the camera fixed. I highly suggest this every time there's an update.

Yes, like all custom ROM's deep sleep does not work. We had deep sleep working in an early build but the sleep was so good Wifi wouldn't wake up with out a reboot or battery pull as some times the phone wouldn't wake up. So we removed it out.

We may never give it a final as we may continue to add to the code to make it better. Just because CM9 and now CM10 is in the works doesn't mean CM7 is going to get ditched. However we have already started on CM9 R2 code. I am hoping to get it pushed up to github this week so MTDEV-CM9 can get under way. Just needing to make some initial changes to the code due to changes from CM9 to CM9 R2.

Trust me we are just as excited about CM9 as everyone else is :D
 
Thank you for clarifying that g60! I noticed it was in earlier builds, and didn't know it had been removed. I am used to toggling anyway, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't having an issue.

So far this ROM is fantastic!

Yeah we might be able to get deep sleep working as chairshot has some tricks up his sleeve so will see. Also glad your enjoying the ROM!
 
After hearing you say that autofocus should be working, I played around with the camera a bit to see if I could get it working, and eventually tried pushing on the camera lens to see if it'd maybe shift the focuser around, and now it's working great again. Looks like my issue was hardware related, so you can ignore my earlier report. Can't wait to see all the future improvements you have in store!
 
Just wanted to say THANK YOU and that the last couple updates have been working great for me. Everything seems very smooth and fast.

Everything seems to be working well except skype will not sign in. It just freezes and crashes on the "singing in" logo. Know of a fix? will probably flash back if there isn't because I use this for most of my calling.

I just dled and tried the skype app and it seems to work fine for me. Signed in without issue and I'm looking at my contacts right now.

Have you tried clearing the data or cache or reinstalling the app?

I have just signed in also. Now I need to see if my friend is up and able to test with me. Yea FFC. Oh, wait. he'll see my ugly butt.;)

And I had JUST downloaded the 0806 build just an hr before you posted this one ugh.As you posted it I was sleeping on the couch with my girl.Looks like I got to DL this one.I needed the cameras to work too as me and the lady are going to the outter banks next week for our anniversery.So thanks to all that worked on this so we can take videos and pics of our trip.
 
Those who use skype, could you test and report.

Working or not.
I had sound issues myself. Also, if you use another simular service, could you do the same?
 
Downloaded and installed build 20120808 this morning and this rom has got to be one of the best I've put on my phone so far! Nice job you guys! :)

One weird thing thats been happening lately is that I've notice my phone not going into deep sleep sometimes after listening to music for a while and having wifi on to stream the music. I turn wifi off after I'm done listening but my phone doesn't go into deep sleep. I checked if it was a wakelock issue with the BetterBatteryStats app and it seems to be a kernel wakelock "event4-162." Any idea on what's causing this? I have to reboot my phone just to get rid of the wakelock everytime.

I had the same issue, try rebooting the phone. Skype signed in for me after a reboot.
 
Loaded the ROM up last night, no real issues so far.
Loving it!
Question, does the ROM have a overclockable kernal?
