Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM9 build 20130120 [BETA]

Hey Bidzer I have the 10/12 build on my MT and just tried a call to my home phone. The proximity sensor works fine for me. Maybe you need to reinstall or something?

I'll give a new install a shot. Will report back later on my status. Thanks for the info.

Just installed this yesterday after being a bit jaded towards CM9 after the original release which, while nice looking, was HORRIBLE on battery life and lacked a ton of features.

Thank you for proving me wrong. I haven't tested how long it will last, but after installing Apex as the default launcher...I am completely happy with this rom. I miss my camera, but I understand. It takes time to get things working and I can live without a camera for now haha

Hi, first of all thank you so much for all of your help and for creating these very kool, creative, custom ROMS's. I've had the Triumph for about a year and have tried a few of them. I am going to try CyanogenMod 9 for the 1st time now.. but have few quick questions that I hope someone can answer for me. THanks so much, in advance! :)

1. What is the difference between an ALPHA rom and a BETA rom?

2. Does FINAL next to a rom mean that it's the absolute, final version of that ROM, and most likely there won't be any future changes/updates made to one?

3. How can I find out the latest version of each ROM made for the Triumph to be sure I'm always installing the latest, most current one? Do I just keep checking various threads or are they all updated, at the top of one specific thread? Just curious.

1. Alpha means there is a lot of issues WiFi, 3g camera and other hardware may not be working. Beta means its good enough for a daily driver but could still have issues, like cm9 doest have camera, HDMI or tethering. But all other features are solid.

2. Yes final is the last release the developer released. It possible the developer may update the ROM but more than likely they won't.

3. For cm7 cm9 and cm10 I would use the MTDEV Roms, they will be the must up to date Roms on the board. Other Roms like froyo, miui are for the most part no longer under development as they are completed but could get updates in the future.

:) Ok, Thank you so much for the clarification and for your help and for these neat Roms that you and others have been creating!! :) Your time, effort and help and advice are very much appreciated and I thank you all!! :D :)

I had previously flashed one of the very early mtdev cm9 versions just to check it out, and I thought it was pretty nice.(I need a camera so I can't use CM9 regularly until this is addressed)
Today I decided to flash the 10/12 build just for giggles to compare since the last time I tried it and WOW! This one is sooo much smoother and faster! Excellent job guys, this ROM runs fantastic!! I cannot wait make this my daily driver once the camera is working! :)

I just installed CM9 too and am like WOW! :) I just rebooted after installing GAPPS, so I'm gonna see how it all works out! :) See, I had reverted back to the stock install of 2.2 on Triumph.. and going from that to CM9 is definitely a big WOW!!! :D thanks again @g60 and everyone who helps with their development and sharing these kool ROMS with us! You guys Rock!! :D[/B][/COLOR]

Just wondering if the radio libs were updated as well...Previous versions will not reconnect after signal loss like CM7 does...regardless keep up the good work G60 and MTDEV! You guys are good!

KNOWN ISSUES
∙ Camera
∙ Tethering (USB)
∙ HDMI

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but is wifi tethering working on the ROM? I'm not sure if the known issue means only USB tethering is broken or if it means all tethering (even usb) is broken.

Thanks!

Both wifi and Bluetooth tethering work. Its USB that does not.

Anyone having this issue?

Hey. Been lurking your threads for quite a while, definitely been loving the CM7 rom.
I have been putting off updating to the latest CM7 build (running 20120810) and I'm wondering if I'd be better off moving to CM9 or just updating to the latest CM7.

I would recommend at least trying it out. The fact the Camera doesn't work is holding back a lot of users which is understandable even I miss my camera. As it stands the camera is my only focus right now. So much so that I am going to start from completely stock code and see what I can end up. The camerahal drivers are working properly from what I can tell but it looks to be an overlay issue based on multiple searches. So back to the grind! :D

Loving the new build! Very smooth. Two questions: 1. Will the option to slide across the notification drawer to change the brightness be back in the next release? And 2. I read that the sound is louder in this build but I have to turn the volume up halfway to even hear anything. Anyone else have this? Other than that it's awesome. :)

OK guys, I have found out where I went wrong. I just pushed the fix and the next build should have the custom carrier under notification drawer, and moved the power widget to it's own menu item.

As of right now, I don't know where the lock screen get's it's carrier lable, so that will be the next hunt. Then back to what I was doing:D

Seeing how there might be some time before we release the next one, would you rather have the carrier lable be under "Notification bar" or "Carrier Lable"? I can call it what ever.

There wasn't anything else under the notification bar settings except the power widget settings. I guess that's why it was moved in mantera's CM9.

Right now since I am rolling completely stock I won't be adding in any changes accept changes for the hardware to work (3g, audio, etc). Since I am not sure what has and hasn't been edited in the code I want to keep it 100% stock including apps until I can get the camera working. First thing I plan on fixing is the camera followed by all the hardware changes (hdmi, tethering, etc) then we can focus on the customization.
