Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM9 build 20130120 [BETA]

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has some clue/idea on how to fix my superuser. For a while now, superuser has denied everything, even itself. I tried running gingerbreak again to no avail, i cant even unroot it. I want to be able to remove some apps to get room for google now, but this is causing some problems.

Also, I tried to use SuperSU as well, but superuser denied it....

EDIT: I did a full wipe and reinstall and it appears to be working again. That said, how much stuff should I have to remove from the system folder to get google now to work?
 
just flashed 10/12 update, the custom carrier
is nice, doesnt match the lock screen carrier.
i like the power ontrol on g60 cm7 better because
it covers all options n flash light, data,
screen time out, gps, etc, like i it in
pull down menu also.
10/12cm9 is very fast, n very quick install
be nice if there were more lockscreen themes like
rotory, lense maybe something new built in like like cm7.
cm9 is almost perfect
And it would be cool if there were nicer
Updated icons, or support to change them.

The next update will have the old settings menu like stock CM9. Also there is themes you can get for CM9, you should find some on XDA which you can setup under the theme area, just like with CM7.
 
@ the madman, glad u realize im in no way complaining.
But if we dont let u know what we are using you won't
be able to know how to help us.
The arm7 procesor, is there any way to upgrade this
Phone with a duel core procesor, when u finish cm10 paired
W/ a hardware upgrade. No need to upgrade the fone.
U never know, they may start making fones plug n play.

If there's a market fotlr it someone will manufacture it for us!!

Oh yeah man no worries, it's a problem we are working on :) Yeah there would be no way to upgrade the CPU as it's soldered to the mother board. I suppose I should say it's possible but who knows what the outcome would be.
 
Amazing! Speed, responsiveness, and app loading are phenomenal in this build. Bluetooth has connected to my stereo headset on the first try the few times I've tested. We'll see what happens after it has been on for a few days. Even if it doesn't, this build is staying on my phone, camera be damned. Great work devs! One question. What, specifically, is causing bt and wifi to be mutually exclusive and not allowing deep sleep?

@G60, hella great Job!!! Im currently running this build, and it is awesome. speeds are great, and no force closes yet. How are you coming along with the game of dice?


Edit: .......mobile app has a different picture.... The desktop version says the guy is a c*nt. My bad.
 
Quick Intro:

OG droid user in 09.. Switched to VM Intercept to save money for a couple years.. Ran bROM most of the time(thanks b_randon) I finally got the money and urge to buy this MT on sale for $150.. still rocking $25 plan. I've had the phone a week now.. I'm honeymooning the major improvement in hardware over my last phone.. I could be happy on this phone for awhile. So I've tried stock, sharp, CM7, and finally CM9.. I don't think I'll use HDMI 99% of the time. Most of the time I don't need a camera either..

I tried CM9.. My first time using ICS except for my kindle fire.. It's so much better than 2.x.. The software improvement and features included in ICS alone is just awesome. That was one of the draw backs of buying a MT. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't have such a great dev community. So thanks very much MTDEV and anyone else helping..

I was impressed with the speed improvement with CM7 over 2.2.2.. So much that it made CM9 10/10 release feel slow. I had minor wifi connecting problems.. Having to restart to connect sometimes. I felt some lag and possibly a problem with tracks skipping ahead on stitcher. It's really stable and impressive.. But I backed up, and restored CM7 again. I think I'll use CM7 for a few months and wait for better builds of CM9. I wonder if CM9 requires better hardware like I would expect from most other OS upgrades. JB sounds nice but again.. I wonder if butter is designed for a little faster hardware.

Thanks again though, Compared to the old/deadend roms I was using on my Intercept.. These roms and this phone blows them away. I'll be happy with this phone for quite awhile and would only upgrade for faster 4G. But the price is right with VM. (T-mobile's 30/month plan is tempting)

OK guys, I have found out where I went wrong. I just pushed the fix and the next build should have the custom carrier under notification drawer, and moved the power widget to it's own menu item.

As of right now, I don't know where the lock screen get's it's carrier lable, so that will be the next hunt. Then back to what I was doing:D

+add a few spiffy ics/jelly bean theme's
+tweak every lockscreen option possible
+change the name under about phone to
4.0 ics/ or jelly bean

Indulge us with a faker cm9/10
I know the hardcore dev's wont go for it.
BUT IT WOULD MAKE ME HAPPY:)

I like being able to see the signal strength in cm7
I added a google play ics rooted theme to cm7

Both are sleek and fast
Cant compare cm7 to a cavelier/cobalt
id say cm7's more like a corvette.
Mt stock rom=hyandie, grocery getter!
 
I have to say... MELTED BUTTER!! This is an amazing version, really everything is awesome! The only thing left to hope for is camera then everything is cool beans!
 
Running 10/12 build and I'm having a problem with the proximity sensor during phone calls. The screen isn't waking to be able to end the call. I have to hit the power button to get the screen to come back on. Is this related to a setting I'm missing? I don't believe so. Just wanted to pass along my experience.
