Camera yes, HDMI probably not. Apparently it is a known issue for this handset, so much so that there is a petition on change.org for Motorola to release the course code. We don't know unless we try......

LMAO :) Well I think if we all donated $1.00 we could get this so called camera fix. You should ask him for a video with the camera working and face unlock working and also have him go into settings to see what version he is running. I am simply assuming he is using CM7 with an ICS theme but who knows maybe some one else out there solved the camera. I would pay $35 for it :)

I would pay $ 35 (EACH TIME) to give a huge electric shock to all the folks pestering devs about camera development.

Is anyone else having issues with voice search on the latest build? I also am having the proximity issue during calls. Just throwing that our there!

I know you know a lot more about this than I do...lol...but did you add the 2 proximity sensor lines in the build.prop ... and by voice search do you mean the Google now search

No problems here. Havent had any issues with the proximity sen either. I tend to speak super slow for the voice nav tho.

Also if someone was asking earlier Bluetooth works like a charm. I used it for two hours streaming music to my bluetooth earphones.

Trust me I'm going to cover my back side on this.If it doesn't look right then no money honey. But if he is legit then I will do a back up to share with all.My Christmas gift to all on here ;)

Yeah I found that the voicesearch, not google now, was picking up to much background noise in my overly loud muffler less 91 Toyota corrola!

And I added the Motorola proximity entry and it still is doing it in call!!

Yeah the proximity is still jacked I will be working on this. Chairshot gave me the in on how to fix it. Haven't messed with voice search so can't commit.

Hmmm...dalvik and cache wipe after adding?...if that doesn't help I know power button in some cases will wake from black screen...but you prolly know that...trying to help with the little I do know

Not jacked...weird but only some are getting this...mine is perfect... first cm rom I have had that it did work on

Yeah power screen always wakes it for me. But the proximity never does for some reason. And yeah g60, the voice search issue was me being in my loud muffler-less near 500,000 mile corolla and it having way to much background noise lol!

Does Google Now work?

Ken,

I removed GoogleNow from the ROM due to issues with the compatibility. I would recommend opening a new thread, or using the one you posted in, and hopefully everyone can break down how to add it after installing CM9. While it has some great features it's not CM9, it's just an application and one that is not available through the Play Store so I do not plan on supporting it any further. I did leave enough free space in the ROM to allow for the online install of GoogleNow but again it's very buggy and the over loud volume, and lack of bluetooth dial was a no no for me to continue to support it.

Thanks,

-g60

Some1 should write up a guide on how to make it work so people can stop asking every other post "does now work?" Gnow is not an important issue.

G60, do you know why battery stats don't work? No eta. Just feel we could tell what's been killing battery. Sounds lime screen isn't sleeping for some users.

What version of BBS do you have? It might not work with ICS. I have never tested the version I have with ICS myself, so I can't respond in that area. I do know that the frameworks and kernel have changed big time, even though we are using a modded 2.6 kernel. It might be an issue with the BBS polls android or the kernel... I think I said that too many times in one post so I'll leave it at that.

Kernel ICS

I use the xda 1.8 rc4 version and it works. I'm just saying battery usage in the settings don't work. Shows the graphs but don't show the battery usage data.

This is a known bug with CM9. CM Team moved on to CM10 and didn't care to fix it. After doing some research it looks like the power_profile.xml file is needing modifications based on our battery drain. Here is a thread I found more info on the XML file

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535318

Since I don't keep up with battery stats or have any clue what numbers we need in there, if some one is willing to take a crack at it I can import this file into our frameworks_base and see if it works. Since it's XML it's pretty straight forward. Our stock files is located here.

https://github.com/MTCM9/android_frameworks_base/blob/ics/core/res/res/xml/power_profile.xml

I have some time on Thanksgiving. Perhaps I should write a guide on Google Now... I like it and know how to get it installed. Just don't expect any updates since the dev team behind Now for ICS has thrown in the towel. I could also write about experimenting with ROM Toolbox and how to free up some space. :)

Seriously thankful for all the work ALL the involved devs have done on this rom, and the roms before it. Last night I flashed MTDEV-cm7 so i could have a camera "nearby" with the holidays coming up. it seemed like an eternity for the notification drawer to sputter it's way down the screen. In that length of time I decided I'll just have a phone with no camera! so smooth. so fast. No knocks on cm7, it's just that cm9 makes it a whole new phone.

speaking of a new phone, a few months ago i saw a video on youtube where a girl peels the factory scratch cover off of her triumph. I hadn't known there was one on there, but there is, so i took it off a couple of months ago. I've gone commando ever since, with heavy use, and the gorilla glass works as advertised. not so much as a hairline, scuff or anything visible to the naked eye. i wouldn't go so far as to say it definitely improves touch sensitivity, but i like to think it does.

anyway, thanks to you all for your hard work.

Just so every one knows, if you are unsatisfied with the Apollo music app linked in the op, as I was, download the one from the market.

It is way better! It caches the artwork, and will use id3 embedded artwork for albums, and you can choose to have it automatically get album and artist artwork, and tell it to pre load images when on wifi or any network. Plus the default theme is black and its just all around a better music app. Way better than stock!

Just thought I'd put that out there!
