Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM9 build 20130120 [BETA]

I don't know who, but I remember someone asked how people are faring with games.
Well, I'm running the 1/20/13 build and nothing has crashed for me yet. So far these are the games/things I've been using (None have force closed or anything):
Disgaea: Netherworld Unbound
A ton of (S)NES games with Tiger NES and SNESDroid
A ton of N64 games with N64oid
Pokemon Emerald (And a few other Pokemon games) for GBA on My Boy!
DSDroid works with all my NDS ROMs, albeit very slowly
A couple MAME games with both versions of MAME4Droid
A couple old versions of a homebrew game I'd been making for PSP on PPSSPP
Silent Hill and Clock Tower II for PS1 on FPSe
TES II: Daggerfall on DOSBox Turbo, albeit rather slowly

Sorry I don't have many apps listed, not a big fan of many mobile games like Angry Birds and stuff, and the ones I do like I haven't gotten around to installing because I just flashed CM9.
Also, very happy with this ROM, I am able to use my Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 PS3 controller with all my apps (Even non-emulator ones) and my bluetooth headphones, and my Wi-Fi all simultaneously without any problems.
What has changed with the newest build in the ROM list? Was anything improved or broken?

I just added my power_profile.xml. On top of that, by running the sync, I updated the parts of the code that weren't forked, and thus we don't have full control over. Any improvements would be from the CyanogenMod team mostly.

So hey dsmryder, I saw some newer rom compiles in there for the 27th and I think 28th of January in the tester's section. What's new about those and are they stable for use?
EDIT: So I just flashed the 1/20/13 rom, and I too am having force-close/reboot issues with games and occasionally just when downloading. I did a full wipe and immediately installed gapps.
EDIT 2: I just found something out. I recently got a 32gb sd card, and i know large sizes can give devices trouble, so i tried unmounting it. I went to run minecraft, and it said it wasnt installed. So i thought, hey, it must have automatically installed to sd. I install it again from market and make a new map without the sd card. Lo and behold i'm busting blocks like no tomorrow.

The test ROMs are use-at-your-own-risk. Basicly the changes I made are minor, but we never know. They boot, they connect to my router, the camera still works like it did before. I am concentrating on that dag on camera. I have a few more ideas to try before I get frustrated.
And on the SDcard. I have a 32GB card in my personal phone. It doesn't seem to give me one lick of trouble. And when I ger the camera working I'll work on the memory ideas I have.

Hmm... What class is it? Mine is a class 4, and I'm not entirely sure it's genuine. It's actually 29.7gb, and it wasn't the red and grey it showed on amazon.
As it stands right now, I'm doing a full format (writing all 0's to the card), and it takes forEVER to do... Almost done though.
Also, might I suggest that instead of working on the camera, try tackling some of the other issues? Everyone who attacks this ROM seems to come to a screeching halt trying to appease the masses with the camera. If you do work on it, I'd alternate back and forth, doing something fun and then coming back to that nasty beast.

Maybe I'll set up another poll. Do you want me to work on the camera (personally I do as it's the only thing keeping me from using it as my dayly) or do you want me to work on the other parts?

On the MTDEV Rom Browser, I can't find the 20130120 build. Only 20130106 shows up. Am I ******ed (wait, don't answer that

Same here. I actually WAS using MTDEV CM9 as my daily but it got to be a hassle for not having a camera so I switched to MTDEV CM7. I really, REALLY liked everything about CM9 aside from no working camera. I'm also quite impressed with MIUI, again aside from not having a working camera.
I don't really take a lot of pics but the times that I've wanted to and weren't able to kinda sucked :-\

Exactly! I had a '92 Eclipse that I loved, except when the trans/trans computer would act wonky. And when I started that "name" dsmrider was taken.
And the 20130106 might be in the "tester" folder. I haven't gotten used to doing this on my own yet. I haven't fully tested it, but that release was more for me to know how to upload a ROM vs make a real post. I don't even know what I pulled when I sync'ed. I just ran the sync to get me up to date.

I had issues with my Talon too. Even with a brand new Throttle Position Sensor, the ECM still wouldn't read things properly, so my idle was at something like 4,000rpm half of the time LOL But when it actually ran good, it RAN GOOD! And that little piece of crap handled like no other.
You are right about the "Testers" folder. Sorry I didn't think to look in there before.
Keep up the great work! I wish I had the knowledge to help develop something so awesome as what you guys have all accomplished. Looking forward to seeing where the future takes us.

I don't know how to tell if I have a 1st or 2nd generation Triumph but my phone seems to do pretty well with this rom, camera works decently on action snap. I"m all for getting that dang camera/vid working fully though. Not sure if there's another thread for the poll or not dsm but there's my quick take. Thanks for the hard work !
I had a stock 06 gts with custom rims, james bond type of alarm and nice woof in the back... man, sure did love that ride, purrred real nice.... that all ends when the wife and kid(s) come along!!!

dsm, if the camera is your main motivation, then have at it. I just don't want to see you get eaten alive by it like some of the others have is all. I do agree that it's a really important feature.

That's why I got rid of mine, mostly. It's a pain to get a kid in a coupe.
And the first gen MT has 7 barcodes while the second has 6.
I just have to make the poll. It's like starting a thread with an option clicked on the bottom.

Thanks guys. I'm a big boy. If I get burned out I'll take a break of some sort. I know that eat away at mantera and g60, but they got it to this point. I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I don't think I will go into the light.....
Bad joke. Oh well. You will just notice that the DEVing will be slow. I am busy, but I want to get out of my feild. The only way is to build a marketable skill and something like this will look good. And the experiene will be even better.

The way I look at it is like this: You take all the time that you need to do whatever it is you want to do with developing. Anything good that comes out of your development is worth waiting for. And those who do not want to wait are not worthy of the final product that comes. We all understand that you are busy, just like everyone else. EVERYBODY has a life that does not revolve around the internet, their cell phones, or developing ROMs for others. Doing this is great, and we all thank you for your time and hard work, but the main focus always has to be on your real life away from the computer screen
dms, bsydz, g60, and everyone else, keep up the great work so long as it doesn't detract from your lives in the "real world."

I'll have it back up tonite, sooooo for those who are playing along, don't sync if you want to build. I think I'll rebuild the source like g60 did so I don't have any more "help"from the CM team. might be a couple of days before any real work gets done.

Nice idea.Only minus is that all the camera controls will be in the picture.There is an app that will let you take pics using CM9.It's Silent Camera.Can use only panarama to have the pictures to save to SD card.
