Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM9 build 20130120 [BETA]

I use the test build done on 2-23-2013. Works with camera. I think it was a quick build done in mid Camera thread. Works pretty well.
 
Ever since my last pull of the repo I haven't been able to build a ROM that could boot. The best I can say is "I'm working on it"
 
I am uploading it as I type. And booting it at the same time.
I presume it's going to be good, but if it doesn't finish I'll pull it.

It booted, but it had a left over attempt to move stuff out of /system.

The new one is up and settings works and the camera works. I don't have service on this phone so I can't test that out. On that note, have fun guys.
 
Well some main things seem to work. Data, voice, camera (partially).
I'm going to test GPS and the host of apps that come with the ROM.
Alarm clock, calendar, and some more that I find. I can't test SMS, MMS or anything of the sorts. Can I get feedback on that?

Anything and everything. I found that annoying/confusing sleep policy string for WiFi. I have that fixed.

I think I'm going to work on the CM7 SU for a little while.

EDIT: Wi-Fi might have a connection issue. I have a crappy router so I might not be the best data source.
 
The wifi works perfectly but I just noticed after a few hours of use my play store doesn't work when I click on it it comes up and then closes out quickly
Edit: reinstall gapps it will work again

when i first booted, camera worked fine. but after reboot when i enter camera it just goes to a blank screen
 
I found that deep sleep mode never happened on this, even with wifi off. It may just be the that the deep sleep widget didn't recognize it, but the percentage never rose from 0% even with Wifi off. Went back to 2-23.
 
I can't get it running for some reason. Whenever I boot up the phone I get an error message saying the setup wizard failed.

My DEV phone does go into deep sleep. Although I don't have data on, or cell. It might be an app keeping it awake.

Are you using the gapps listed in the first post? That's the one I'm using.

It's possible it's an app, but I don't get that effect using the 2-23. I wonder if it's cell or data?

I installed it without wiping data/cache from the 2-23 version, so that could have something to do with it? Everything else seems OK.

Thanks that was the problem. I was flashing the Gingerbread one.

So far I've had no issues with Wifi or Data. Camera seems to work as well. Long texts seem to be an issue for me it keeps saying sending but never actually sends. Shorter texts work fine. As long as I keep it from splitting the text then it will go through. MMS works perfect! Calls are fine as well. I'll use it some more and give you another update in a day or two if anything.

I'm not sure what files are used for our GPS on CM9 just yet. I took over the project a little while ago and I stood back while adamto and BSydz did their thing for the camera. Now it's where it is I'll be able to play with the files and I think I'll be able to get them to where CM7 is or better.

Retrying this again today. Now I have it going into deep sleep mode. I guess something was holding a wake lock yesterday. Next time, I'll just try and reboot instead of blaming the Rom.
