Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM9 build 20130120 [BETA]

So...Hows it been going with the camera stuff? Are you working on the ffc or are you still working on the back?
I just got home from vacation, one week turned in to basically 3 weeks. I plan on getting back in to this after I get some much needed sleep. I did some reading and got some ideas on a few things that may help us out. I also plan on digging in and getting Jellybean rolling.

What's up everybody, how's it been going? I have some catching up to do, but hopefully we can get some more advances on the camera soon.

Good to have you back man

Welcome back BSydz, did you go anywhere nice?
Thanks, I was in GA and it was in the 60's and 70's the whole time I was there, it was lovely. Now I'm back in the snow. Had a LOT of fun and it was hard to come back. I drove so, I kinda just kept pushing back when I was leaving til I had to.

Thank you, I'll be powering up my dev rig for the first time in what seems like for ever. Time to get some kernel work done and hopefully get us some jellybeans for Easter. :D

Hello again I've been reading many comments of people saying the camera IS taking pictures and so i flashed the test rom. well it's still just doing the same thing when i open it the preview is all like...sideways? and when i click to take a pic it force crashes. Am I doing something wrong or did i read wrong lol

Hm, would it matter if flashing 3/20 build with symlinked-gapps-ics-20120429-signed-Ver2 ?

I've had issues with wifi / bluetooth / proximity sensor with CM9 0228 build (I think it was)

I'm flashing 3/20 build now with reg gapps 20120429 just to test theory out...

Thanks to all you kickass developers ! More money to donate, time to click some in!

When flashing this rom, if I first reboot into recovery and make a backup, then flash 3/20 and gapps... then I can reboot into recovery, restore image, then and all my stuff, home page image, home page apps, settings, etc all get restored or is that how I do that ?

If anyone is having problems with navigation apps not working, do this.

go to your settings->location services->GPS source-> make sure that internal gps is checked. Once I did that, GPS started working again

When you restore a backup it will be as it was when you made the backup. You can try flashing over, but it's not recommended.

I use My Backup Pro to restore all my apps.

I was in the Woodstock/Alpharetta area, I used to live in Marietta and Riverdale/Morrow areas in the early 2000's. I have a lot of fun every time I am down there. Sorry about the weather now that I'm gone, I had to bring some heat back with me, it's cold in MI. ;)

Does anyone else have proximity sensor issues? Bleh damn annoying when I have to sit and wait an extra 4to5 seconds after phone call in order for screen to come back on... where are those sensors anyway? Maybe I'll cut out the screen protector over it or them...

Installed the Tester/MTDEV-CM9-20130320.zip the other day. No wifi (won't turn on), but camera seems to work ok. Interesting that I had neither wifi nor 3g (vmobile) with the MTDEV-CM9-20130218.zip Don't see others seeing the same issues, so wonder if I missed something (phone previously had a CM7 build).

I had the same serious problem with the MTDEV-CM9-20130218.zip . I had wi-fi but NO Virgin Mobile 3g. Quite frustrating, as I tried reloading it several times.
