I haven't run this in a long time so I'm not sure, but if it acts like the 3d weather app I got on my device, it'll reset whenever u can't reach the networks, usually u can tell cause you got no service but not always, mine resets to London,UK alot lol usually I click it and it reloads my actual location
Again I don't run cm9 and my weathers from a different app so it maybe different

Yeah, it's nothing like that. This is the CM built in lockscreen weather widget. It is set to use Yahoo weather but it isn't grabbing weather info anymore. It's set to use my geolocation and I have even tried swithing to custom location and it errors out saying "cannot retrieve location!" It's like all connection to Yahoo weather has been lost. Can someone else check on their phone to verify?? I'm thinking the IP or URL of the Yahoo weather site has changed. Also is there any way we could get other weather options like Weather Underground or Accuweather? Thanks!

I'm not running this ROM so I can only offer my thoughts here. Also, I know I'm talking two ENTIRELY different platforms/devices. The built-in Yahoo! Weather on my iPod has, upon occasion, been unable to update my weather locations. When this has happened it's lasted for usually about a day, give or take. Since there's no issue with my home Wi-Fi and everything else network-related still works fine on my iPod, I can only assume the problem lies with Yahoo!'s servers.
I don't use the lockscreen weather function on my MT but I do use and recommend the Smoked Glass Digital Weather Clock. I may be fudging the exact name a little but it's easy enough to find in the Play Store. It's a widget that displays the current weather conditions with access to a 4-day forecast, as well as displaying battery percentage & temperature, internal free space and SD Card free space. While not as convenient as having the weather on your lockscreen it is still only a click away from your lockscreen.

I'm sure I would. But no one else has had a full-time paid position as a Triumph dev here either. We used to see a little more activity.
I'm just asking what needs to happen before we see a new release.
Also **** this phone and ICS, I need to get something with 4.2 so group text messages are threaded. That shit is annoying enough right now I'll spend a couple hundred to upgrade.

You asked when the newer ROM update was gonna come.
If you don't like either the phone or ICS, switch. The developers are doing their job trying to fix it up as much as possible, I'm sure they don't need someone saying "#$%^ this phone and #$%^ your work." Heck, I think that's even against site rules.

If you hate the phone that much you could donate the phone to a DEV. I think that adamo might be able to make a benefit out of it.
If you need 4.2, why don't you do it yourself?

If I could just magically have a new phone, I would. I think most of us are on a budget that's why were on Virgin Mobile. I never "said **** their work", stop putting words in my mouth.
Also I'm more than allowed to express my opinion on how annoying non-threaded group texts are.
Happily, if I get a new phone.
I'm not a dev. This is pretty obvious.

I have handcent and it has group threaded texting. It doesn't have to be in the included apps. I think GoSMS can do it also. I heard that Handcent is no longer developed (and that sucks for me) so you might want to research another SMS manager. If there is another feature that you need to have let us know and I'm sure someone here has come across an app that can do it. It's not like the Google team is that smart. Heck, look at what Samsung has done with their power widget. Look familiar? It looks a lot like what CyanogenMod has had for years. I'm not even sure they came up with it. I just love it's there.
Whether you want to admit it or not, you did come across as a bit on the aggressive and demanding side for someone who's benefiting from what others are doing for free. Can't blame other posters for finding that annoying (I did, but hadn't intended to say anything until that high horse you're on got a lot higher with this last post, especially that last sentence).

Yea, I've been trying out GoSMS from the default messenger. It does thread them, however it misses a lot of the mms, and just generally has some big issues.

Eh, no problem. I wish more of the stuff I worked on panned out. I bet the time that the other DEVs waisted is at least a proportional to what I have. I just don't have a ton of time right now.
My offer to get someone started will always stand. I can add them to the repo or what ever needs to be done.
Well, I think that everything that has been done with this ROM is remarkable. I'm loving it. The only thing that I miss from CM7 is the rendering options (night-time, red, blue, etc.) Primarily for long trips in the car when I'm using the phone for GPS. My interior lights are red, and it's just cool to have the GPS match everything else in the car. But, like I said, awesome ROM. It makes the phone continue to be worthwhile.

Well if this works (like you can see the computer working) then I'm back in business. I did a sync and it killed my ability to build. That has taken me from the time I made the last tester to now to (possibly) find.
In that time I took on a bigger role at work, had a baby (and yeah he's cute), and have been trying not to neglect my daughter. It's amazing how much time there is, and how little there isn't.
Oh, and remind me about what features you want in the ROM. If it is done in the CM7 ROM I might be able to port it forward. I just need to know what I'm looking for.

It's not just your phone. I'm experiencing the same problem. I don't believe it's an issue with the ROM; rather it is an issue with Yahoo. I think Yahoo may have changed or blocked their API (or just cut out data communication to the lockscreen widget entirely). It's happening to all Cyanogen users, so you're not the only one. You can always put a widget on your homescreen or use GoLocker as a replacement.

All together now. Say "Thank you Koush!" Just kidding, we love Koush. He has done a ton for the community. This is why I'm moving the way the project works. They make an update and it kills my ability to build. Stops me in my tracks. Oh, well. I'm back to figuring out what I was going to do.

I'd like to try to help, but I'm not quite sure what the problem is. Was there a conflict then you tried to merge that? Did you need that patch and not know about it?
