honestly im not sure.. lol i know you need some batch files for un-packing and re-packing... but how to edit i have no clue.. i kinda justed looked out of curiosity.. no intention of doing research that day lol

I'm trying last guide first as im listening to a youtube video (captainsparkles! ) and I don't want to interrupt it lol

just came to thank ldrifta for his great rom.

i had been using broken out since it was released until about 4 days ago. i occasionally suffered from a random reboot (mostly when using pandora) but i thought it was a small price to pay for a sweet rom. i was browsing the forums as i am wont to do and i saw that Number 2 was released as 2.0, all the testing was done. i admit i was skeptical of it at first, i didn't like the initial font choice for it (yes i know i could change it myself, it was still off-putting) and i was iffy on the black and white. but you know what?
THIS ROM DELIVERS!

it's quick on the draw, snappy at worst and the battery life seems better than before.
so again, thank you ldrifta and everyone here at the forum who tested or provided pieces and mods to make this rom the monster it is. ba-da-ba-ba-ba

ok so i have a 3500mah extended battery....runnin #2 v2.0 and have setcpu down to 245 and i checked all my running services and nothing major.....and i get bout 7 hours max when just sits there not being used all day....background data is off and so is 4g.....what else can i do???? the stock battery only lasts bout 4 hours tops!!! very annoying!!

I had basically the same issue when I first started using this ROM among other issues. 4 days straight I got about 6 to 7 hours on an extended battery. I also had some random reboots and some force closeings on my keyboard. My phone was pretty much staying awake all the time even when my display was off. I tried downloading the rom again numerous times with no luck. I tried freezing and uninstalling apps thinking 1 of my apps was the issue causing the problems. After a week of trying to figure out what was wrong I finally found a solution.
This is what I did to correct the issue. IN ORDER.
1. I downloaded the rom on a very good wifi connection.
2. I deleted all of my backups of my apps.
3. I did a full wipe in recovery
4. I manually flashed the rom in recovery
5. I redownloaded and installed all the apps that I have on my phone.

I had tried these steps before except for step number 2 and 5. I don't know why this may have helped but I got it from a good source on the xda forums.

After I did this I have not had 1 issue. Everything is working perfectly and I am regularly getting 16 to 20 hours with very heavy usage on my extended battery.

I know doing it this way to takes a long time and is a royal pain but it cured my headache.

I wasn't bashing Metro I was being annoyed at people who don't believe me that I don't recieve some texts or calls or some of my texts don't even send out either. Yea you ar right it could be the area I am but it has been like this for three years and they have expanded their coverage... so sometimes I am not even all that sure if it is because of where I live? Either way I totally agree with you. I wouldn't leave Metro because of that. Just annoyed that no one believes I don't get their calls or texts sometimes... is all...

I decided on not using the extended battery because protection is of more value to me. Lol, I get pretty decent battery life with my phone now I guess maybe 10 hours ish. Nothing like 20+ hours some of you are getting and still using your phone which I still am trying to figure out how I can get that lol. Juice Defender boosts me about 1.24... i don't know what else I could change....

For instance, i can leave my phone untouched for an entire day and be sitting at 80 percent in 24 hours. So just by me saying i got 24 hours and still got 2 3rds left, doesn't mean i was actually using my phone.

I'm gonna put it out there that it's impossible to use your phone like a normal person or moderate and get more than 24 hours. Having the phone off for 14 of those 24 hours isn't moderate. Someone can prove me wrong.

So don't believe everything people say

I use my phone moderate and will get 14ish hours. I use it sparingly and i can get up around a day or more.

HI ldrifta... first of all Thanks for an awesome Rom!!! <3 it. I had lagging in the previous versions but the 2.0 is best so far. super fast. But the only problem i am having is bluetooth. If i try to pair with my car it force closes the bluetooth settings when i select pair!! Any suggestions on how can i fix it?

Totally agree with ya.. I get good life with mine but do still have a charger handy.. It's all on how ya use it.. Average is prolly around 10-12 though.. Usually don't let it die all the way out unless it's one of them nights

Its really minor differences but noticable (thanks to fuzzys research on older build.prop) can save a little more battery. but with lack of performance (good for people who just browse here n there)

Or vice versa for people who play 3D games etc..

than the happy medium for average users such as myself..

in my devices life time (post rooting) my battery has reached under 20% maybe twice... so im not complaining.. but I personally tested and approved these alterations.. so the choice will be yours..

I get 11-12hrs at freakish high use. 16-17hrs with heavy use. 24hrs plus! With a little battery management. 24hrs included a 2 hour movie streaming...

Since I'm not a gamer I mainly use my phone for regular use I do a lot of Web browsing I also like to try out widgets and once in a while I do games I think I will go for the battery tweak I have an extended battery so that is not an issue but the more I save battery the better :thumbup:

I have number 2 rom version 1.6.1. ....for the past week I m not able to send or receive calls or text..but all my media is fine..does anyone think this is a problem with the rom..I had it for a few months..never had a problem till now..anyone know a solution for this?

You're one of the people that I have no idea how you get that kind of battery life!

I don't use task killers. I have deleted Facebook and google maps, apps. Data sync to once a day, including my weather/clock widget.

I use power widget lite to toggle on/off all of the high use stuff. 4g/location/screen brightness & rotate. When they are not in use.

The phone is a .6 watt transmiter whenever it is in use. Turn that stuff off, and its just a phone. I use bookmarks to check Facebook through dolphin, same with maps...

Personally I don't need to know, Every single time I get an email, our someone likes a post. I check them several times a day...
