Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

I'm having issues with my blue tooth. It force closes every time I try to pair with another device. Is anybody else having this prob while running #2?

Happen to me too. Just do what shiny said it fixed it. I got the settings.apk from LD-LG ZVD rom and used root explorer to place it in system/app folder.

hey guys.. once again sorry for all these little minor mishaps, the themed settings.apk is clearly causing an issue with bluetooth.. so before i give up and just slap stock settings back in there im curious of a few things.. (hope the right people are reading this lol)

i just want to know if anyone has successfully themed the settings.apk and had no problems with BT? if so than i will take another crack at it..

if not, than im gonna have to put stock settings.apk as default, but i will provide the themed one for people who like it and dont care about bluetooth (like me lol)

now second thing i would like some feedback on is.. the rom!!?? lol im not sure if it's jus from me and all my crazy experiments, but after a good week or two of using it does anyone else feel like it slows down a bit?

*NOTE: of coarse it's gonna slow down over time anyway due to people using the device, creating data and downloading apps etc.. but im one of those people who are EXTREME OCD lol, i keep my system clean, wipe cache(s) on occasion and always clear crap out like old messeges, call log etc..

so my theory is.. (because i read it somewhere lol) i do a lot of "app killing" with the default kill option in 'settings/applications/running services' and i read that if you kill things "toooo" much it can kinda mess up your system and cause lag blah blah blah.. so it could just be ME causing the slowing down (i hope)..

so, long story short... is anyone else experiencing this lil prob and NOT constantly killing things lol??

I noticed a slow down and then I installed an app killer... I know what your thinking lol. But my performance went back to amazing again!

well i dont feel the ROM slowing down. It works flawless. Nothing is wrong with this ROM for me.. The reason why i havent experienced the Bluetooth issue is because i dont use it either lol. i like the way this ROm is. RUns like its overclocked. and great with batterylife. No issues here boo.

I dont know anyone themed settings apk without problem. But this has worked for me, I use bluetooth to connect to my computer, I used the stock settings and connected and paired to the comp and worked fine and then swapped the settings out for a themed one after I had pair and such and it worked fine. It was just the initial pairing of the 2 that screwed everything up for me

Ok I am using your #2 ROM. ( the best I've used thus far ) with Ics 4.0 theme flashed... I have not had any problems connecting my bt headphones.. 1 thing I Did have to do was after connecting it would not pair. So I had to long press on bt headphones in settings wireless and click options and connect... don't know how much this will help....

I do the SAME thing you do and I see no slowing down. At lest noticeable at least. Battery life has stayed consistent as well.

I themed settings but I only changed the icons for each of the categories. I dont know about bluetooth problems though.

nah im not thinking anything lol there are many mixed feelings about 'app killers' i personally was alll about them, but that was back when i had a low level android (G1)..

let me fill you in a little lol.. the G1 was NEVER officially updated to anything past 1.6, BUUUUUT we have ICS AOSP on it lol because it's just a beast!!! lol a few of my very good friends from xda are still, TODAY working on roms and themes for the G1 lol it's kinda funny how many people are still in that forum putting in work, but anyyyway

if you ran anything over 2.2 (froyo) on it, you either needed some serious tweak's, and a class 4 or 6 sdcard over 4g to use as an ext for system install (which did slightly slow it down a tad but was still cool to have anything above 1.6 lol so was worth it as long as you didn't go shopping in the market everyday lolol) or you needed a decent task killer and know how to use it accordingly, they can somewhat be dangerous.. specially with htc sense (which we also have on the G1 lol 2.1 + 2.2 not sure about 2.3 but i know it was started..) because sense just has all this extra crap running in background.. which is why a lot of the more advanced devs dislike htc sense lol

but all in all as long as you use them safely they do kinda help.. but the task killer itself is an application running in background and the whole goal of rooting is to avoid that lol

Big l no issues some slowness at times but like others said a quick reboot helps I guess as we download apps we can experiment more into lagness or slowdowns I for example took out some heavy apps but from time to time I see a slow down for some odd reason

I too do the same thing! Lol

Occasionally I get some dialer lag. But that's usually after I have been using something memory intensive. It goes away when I clear memory (running apps).

Personally, I would love to have bt working. Moving files, t, etc.

This ROM kicks ass! Thanks

The only thing that eerks me the most out of anything is ending a call. That damn end call button can take forever sometimes. I really wish there was a way to make that bitch close when its touched. Im sure the screen on/off during a call has a lot to do with it.

Damn I'm not the only one yeah but that is an LG issue I believe

I hate that freakin feature...I want to make it less sensitive....Try taking a pic while in call....

Dude. That and the "auto brightness" feature. I HATE them both. A freaking SHADOW will change the brightness over and over and over. Its so damn annoying. How can I cut it off or change it?

haha i swear to god man i set ALL the auto brightness values back to default!! but i DO know what your talking about.. kinda bugs me too.. i even completely re-did the framework of the rom without touching anything crazy.. i just dont get it, honestly with all these little bugs popping up i think im gonna take a solid day or two and just completely re-do it all...

again back when i started this thing i didn't understand xml editing as much as i do now so im sure i will notice more things this time around lol

as for the end call button.. no clue, but it also aggrivates me :( not sure if it's an actual issue with the stock lg source, or whatever.. but i removed all tweaks to do with dialer etc.. sometimes it works fine, then like stated sometimes it takes 20 touches lol

we'll get there some day..

Oh yeah for sure, one day ;)

But it doesn't matter compared to everything else within #2. I'll live ;)

Anyone else having problems downloading these files?

Ive tried downloading each file several times and moved it to my SD card. When trying to flash in CWR, it doesnt show up. I've had to store a backup each time to stay out of a bootloop or rebooting w/out an OS.

Anyone have suggestions or different links?

Oh, I've also tried downloading the 2.1 from Rom Manager, but kept getting download errors each time.

TIA!

I'm retrying 1.7. One of these versions worked really good with this phone. I was losing login data and apps were disappearing after a few weeks of use. I don't use any task killer.
