If I'm already using #2 I shouldn't have to wipe phone, I should be able to just install the update correct?

Even though your question was answered, in the future when in doubt just check the original post. It will usually have all the information. ;)

You can flash a good majority of the themes over it.
There is a stock theme if that is what u mean
yeah, that's exactly what i mean.
i'm new to android in general, i just got my first android phone a few days ago. so i installed broken out and i like it, i wanted to try #2 but when i installed it, it had an ICS theme. the theme was nice but not for me, how do i go about changing the theme?

also, i created backups of broken out and #2, can i just restore my #2 backup? if so, do i keep all the apps i backed up with it?

Download the theme you want to your SD card.
Boot into recovery
Wipe cache
Advanced<wipe dalvik
DO NOT WIPE DATA
install zip from SD card (internal or external where ever you put it)
When its done updating select Reboot System Now
And boom. Your done

Yes u can restore your #2 backup or broken out. Up to you.
Flashing a theme will leave your apps alone.

so basically i can use CWM to smoothly switch between nandroid backups, like if i want broken out on monday, switch to #2 on tuesday, and back to broken out on wednesday, without losing apps as long as i backup and restore?

Correct,kinda.
Lets say Monday you flash your #2backup and download the Facebook app
Tuesday you flash your broken out backup. Facebook would not be there

right, exactly. i meant that as long as i backup my ROM right before i restore the opposite one, my apps will stay the same in the backup. good to know :)

How do i get rid of launcher pro? I use ADW EX. I went to manage applications and all it lets me do is clear cache and force close but it wont let me uninstall. I know i can just set adw to default but i dont want extra launchers im not going to use.

Titanium backup is one of the main apps a rooter must have. You can uninstall it with that. ;)
