I'm using the default weather widget, animated 3d widget, the weather channel, weather bug, and something called Classic Sense Clock & Weather.

Some of the tell me:


"Sorry, couldn't find a location matching 33461"

When I try to do it manually.

I think it may be a problem with Accuweather, because the main website also marks 22462 as both Lakewood Gardens and Lake Worth, but Lakewood Gardens doesn't exist and the weather is wrong.

Lakewood gardens is in Tampa

And there's one in South Fla

yeah wipin gisn't REQUIRED, but greatly reccomended, especially when switching roms.. I only do it because i MUST make sure things work before releasing them, so i have it down to a science and my phone is 90% of the time clean lol, but anyway the main reason is...

the INSTANT you turn you device on from a fresh data wipe, it immediately creates data, any little thing you do creates a small amount of data &/or cache.. so if your running a rom with OC'ing privilages, you have saved data in your device telling it that you had changed the default clock speed to "??", so now if you flash #2 and dont wipe data guess what.. thats right, now you have un-needed data stored on your device and it could even possibly be taking up ram to keep all that un-needed crap in there... (this is only 1 of many examples of how not wiping data on a rom switch could be harmfull) so WIPE IT!!! lol why not? like seriously?? why the hell not? lol treat your phone as if you'll lose it tomorrow, dont make it so your life depends on that lil piece of plastic man.. wipe tha data LOL.. hell wipe some cache too well ur at it ;)

Its only recommended by those who don't understand how things work tho lol. Do u wipe your pc everytime u update or upgrade it? Same difference. Now for those cases like u mentioned, like oc settings, thens its best to set those to defaults b4 flashing. I use to recommend it too, but got a nice big lecture from the real pros ;)
 
Well if you are using the weather apps its going to give you the one that you are near if it isn't your area you need to go into the app and set your home location if its 2 or more the same name you are at that time to put in your zip code .... that's not a problem with the rom its with that app .. i know this happend a lot with the weather channel it stay buggy ......

well yes on upgrades but no on updates lol i wipe if im installing windows 7 on an XP pc or something lol, would you wipe your pc from ubuntu to mint?

and i have a question :D lol what about system apps not in one but the other? other roms use adw, some use lghome and some use launcher pro ;), does all the saved data from each launcher stay stored in the device? would you not want to remove that? lol, plus all the different tweaks that have been applied by different build.prop/init.d scripts etc..? (i know most tweaks dont affect data but some of the affects may have?, i could be wrong..)

i'm realizing as i type this that it sounds conflicting but im really not trying to argue the fact that i DO still have much to learn on how it all works :D i would love to get a similar lecture from a person i consider a pro & a friend ;)
 
L can you post up just the most updated version of this theme:confused:
Trying LD-LG but I can't decide on a new theme so i figured I would flash this one over it until I do(stockish is soooo boring) :rofl:

matter of fact, 2.5 is coming out today.. now i dont want you guys to expect all these super great changes from beta4 to the official release, beta4 had most of the new goodies, the new release just has the actual finalized version of theme, (couple changes since B4), has fuzzy/superusers flashlight mod built in to the settings, and the BIGGEST thing, is now ALL apk's are decompile & recompile-able with no errors :D so that means the rom should also run a bit smoother with no png errors ;) there many other lil things added since B4 they will all be listed in changelog omce i push the release :D

also i did a lil suttin suttin to the kernel ;)
hint: it's NOT overclocked yet LOL (Optimus 3d)?

now i just want to find a new worthy default background and run through this thing again to make sure it's ready for the public :D

Cant wait homie. We all appreciate what you have done with this ROM. Obviously this has become the go to ROM for the Esteem. You dont see that too often. Usually people will use different things. But this ROM is just so badass, it makes no sense to use anything else.

Way to go L. :D
 
Just amazing ldrifta just amazing lucky to be an owner of a phone that has a great group of guys working to make it better lucky to be here sorry I don't make theme or roms but always here to help with what I can Thanks again :beer:

Im ready for 2.5 thanks for all your hard work im running beta and i love it cant wait it see what u have in store for us with the finished product :D :p
