Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Thanks brainz you the man and no I'm. No good with roms that's why i came to this forums so the people that knows what their doing help the noobs like me one more thing abusing of your knowledge where can i get the 2.5 rom final thanks :D

You can use the 2.7. Just download a app called busybox installer download the 162 box with the symlinks u need wifi to download
 
Soooo. here I post again....went back to 2.5! Only this time I flashed 2.8.1 then setup....then wiped cache anddalvik .....then flash 2.5 and voila best of both worlds. I decided to use the holo launcher and not the pro .......

I'm happy, will post later if it starts to lag like the 2.8.1 sid
 
hey guys.. sorry for abandoning everyone like that.. im getting my esteem back soon :D first thing im gonna do is get zve and start over, no more over modding/over tweaking, in my absence i've found that the less you do the better it'll run so im gonna push out a fresh new #2 for you guys and jus leave it as a base lol ill try to pop in more frequently and learn what i can of the latest zve update :D

just an FYI, i have my hands on a full copy of the zve update, deodex'd etc.. just having some trouble with my script and boot.img to get a full rom running..

if anyone wants a copy pm me and ill pack it up for ya, untill then ill be busy trying to get you guys a damn update for this rom LOL
 
I had the esteem on #2 2.8 and did the update and was so pissed when it reverted to stock. Ladrifta love all the work you put into the rom dude! I work for MetroPCS and people were shocked when I showed them my phone. They thought I had a new version of ICS. Any way keep up the good work looking forward to seeing how this works. I didnt wanna shell out for the S3 but may do it anyway and keep this as a backup as soon as I get a new digitizer.

haha thats funny because im currently awaiting the arrival of MY new digitizer for the s3 :D, sold the esteem to my bro back when i baught it but now he letting me play with it again because i told em about the update LOL

i actually figured out a few new "key" things in the zve update that may be portable to the original #2 rom for a quick dirty port lol, but i still want to do a real zve #2 :D

probly gonna give him my premia for the esteem back lolol
 
Well it works for ke om ZVD. Haven't had any sideeffects yet, hopefully there aren't.

Anyone have a mirror to Number 2 2.8.1? Dev Host doesn't play well with my phone at all.

it can be used on zvd, but without the new baseband, eventually you may have issues with data.. zve is for the new t-mobile network merge.. so i suggest you guys stop being lazy and just update.. otherwise i dont want to hear about a single issue about the rom :/

not trying to sound mean, but laziness is not accepted... just do the darn update and be happy metro cared enough for the esteem to dish one out :D

Lol I wish I could, but no internet at my house at all. When I heard there was a new update I was surprised that they hadn't forgot about us yet.

ooo you cant get the update with only 4g you need wifi right? or you just cant un-root? ill see if i can find a way to help you out
 
Not sure about the whole wifi thing, but I did return to complete stock ZVD, no root nor cwm/twrp. Never got it OTA. Waited for 2 days until stock just killed me completely lol

well im almost positive there a way to flash the modem over, and flash the zve system.. jus need to get you re-rooted :D
 
I'm rooted with cwm and #2 3.0... My 4G is affected but its user error :b

Can't somebody that got it OTA get it frok their phone?

I can restore my phone back to stock ZVD too.
 
is it that since u dnt hav internet at home,is why u cant update?,i unrooted and waited but the ota never came,so i went to lg.com n got it,if that is the case,can we send the update to u someway?

ROM#2 older versions and newer ones

ive gt it on my other hard drive,u want me to upload it for ya,jus let me no

i up loaded it for ya on my post,its on second page Esteem - All Things Root ROM#2 older versions and newer ones look on there i jus uploaded it for ya
