Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

Uh, what pre-installed apps? I haven't included anything besides the Weather and News app (because it was necessary for build 1.11.25). Everything in this port is stock MIUI. If anything I removed apps that you would normally find in MIUIAndroid or MIUIus ports.

If you still want to delete apps use Titanium Backup.
By "pre-installed apps" I mean those comes with MIUI like firewall, google apps, etc. I am a newbie and am just trying to figure out how things are organized.

I will check out the Titanium Backup. Thanks

Hm, I noticed something today, and was wondering if it was just me.

Well, what happened was my battery got low, and it turned it off. Well, seeing what would happen if I turned it back on...it worked....kinda
It went to the miui logo, and looped on it until the battery was fully drained.

Is this normal?
I would not say it should be normal, but it happens this way... For me this happens some times when using the camera, and l have to pull the bat and everything will work again when l turn it on again...

Just be careful of which apps you delete. Like I said, I removed everything that wasn't directly tied to the MIUI framework in some way. I think some of the more frivolous apps (Firewall, File Explorer, etc.) should be removable, but removing others may cause issues.

My goal with this port was to reduced this down to bare MIUI stock.

I tried the other Roms, and all had little problems with it. So I kept installing
until I found something close to perfect. And I must say. This is Perfect
everything on the phone that I use works like I need it. This is awesome!
I was about to sell my triumph. But now im in love with it, cant stop messing with it lol.

Just wanted to say thank you! you are a Genius dude, u freaking rock! :D

Yeah, if MIUI lets me on their dev team and gives me the source ;)

Joking aside, if we can get the Triumph included in the ROM Manager manifest, I can easily post OTA updates through ROM Manager. The only problem is the Triumph is being ignored for whatever reason.

EDIT: New kernel is still being worked on. I've managed to squeeze out another extra 30-40 mb of RAM. That puts us at a total of 340 RAM available, which is pretty good.

I actually tried that yesterday just to see what would happen....

Nothing happened. Just got an error. :)
So currently there isn't option to update the system apps (I mean apps like Superuser, GApps, etc.) included in MIUI, right? I figure one way to update Superuser is first delete it and then install one from Market. Am I correct?

On CM7 my Superuser updated without me having to do that, I would think MIUI would be the same. It came with the ROM and updated through the market without me ever downloading it. Same with other apps (Google Maps, etc). There are possibly MIUI specific apps that you might have to do that with, but not the google apps.

so what exactly is the new miui lockscreen 2.0? any cosmetic changes? i couldnt find any pics of it

Updates to the lockscreen manifest I've looked at on xda include the ability to pull weather app/imagery; allowances for components (like album art, marquee song titles) to be rotated; possibly an implementation of gmail counts, though I am waiting for confirmation on that; display not only of number of missed calls/texts, but possible display of the missed call numbers, times, etc. Follow the fun over here :)

so thats what its gonna look like!?!? i found that but i thought it was just a theme
Yep, just a theme. I hear counts on phone calls/and or sms is doa in latest version until the ls theme manifest(s) are fixed to accommodate changes, may have changed over last two days

So is MIUI 1.11.25 newer than 1.11.4? Cause shouldn't it be the other way around?

I explained this in the first post, but it isn't exactly clear:

Code:
miuiandroid_Triumph-(MIUI VERSION)-(MMDDYY)-(REVISION)
MIUI version refers to the specific weekly build from MIUI. Their versioning is 1.MM.DD. So, for build 1.11.25, it would be 1.November.25th.

Now, the second date, MMDDYY, refers to the date of my specific port (Triumph port). I did this to indicate if there newer fixes to our port for one particular MIUI weekly build.

The revision is the build number for that particular day. I work on crap all day and pop out new revision I test so I count which build it was during that day.

For third-party MIUI mods, mod devs should refer to the MIUI build number, not the Triumph specific date. So, if you have, for example, a menu mod, devs should list which MIUI build it works for (e.g. 1.11.4).

OK thank you. That explains it. No big deal, I was just wondering

Big ups to Isaac, Isaac your improvements in our Touchscreen driver did wonders. Running and attacking isn't a pain anymore. You did great Isaac, better than I could do(more experience/knowledge), Thanks!

Also, sorry for being a little pest on github. :)

No worries, is there really an improvement? I didn't expect it to necessarily get better, but I did notice Shadowgun was "easier" to play. I figured it was my own imagination... ;)

Big improvement, when playing Contract Killer: Zombies, before when I try to aim, I have to let go my finger I use to aim to shoot; or else my aim moves and I miss. Kind of like when you have one coordinates(one finger) then add another pair of coordinates, the first pair lose their original position to get closer(in numbers) to the new pair of coordinates.

swype won't work
You brought that up on the CM7 thread as well, and got a decent number of responses about it. I don't know if it is just an issue with your version or what, but it works for others. If you reply to their suggestions, we can help you a lot more.
