Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

Is there a way to break a long txt msg up into 160 char pages when it is sent? This was an option in cm7 and I'm just wondering if there's a way to do it in MIUI...

I'd be interested in this too, if anyone has found a way... I love the MIUI texting app- I much prefer it over Handcent. I found this mod -> [APP] MMS SMS split [7.29.11] but the dl link seems to be broken for me and I couldn't find another link anywhere.

Edit: Also, that wifi fixer app doesn't fix the lockups for me- I have tried changing sleep policy/sleep options, but it doesn't help. For those whom it has helped- what options do you have it set to?

WiFi usability: Balanced, Status notification: on
If you still get lockups, try advanced settings > disable sleep and/or wifi sleep when screen is off.

i tried all night and this morning and couldn't get wifi fixer to make any difference regardless of settings i changed. (even tried suggested setups.)

Anyone getting my issue I posted about a little earlier?? About not getting texts unless I make/receive a call??

I went back to stock because this was getting frustrating...
I still had yet to have a wifi lockup though

well as someone mention lg camera works great it works for front facing pics and rear facing pics and its not upside down for MMS textplus is great for receiving pic msg for now. i will be trying out the wifi fixer app :D

@everyone:

Like I already stated, I will put up a new build with the WIFI fix. I also have a new MIUI Camera app that has the orientation correct when the phone is held upright (it's still upside down during landscape mode). I'm now using TG's camera libs to fix the upside-down issue during actual usage (Google Talk, Skype, etc.)

Believe it or not, we devs have lives of our own. I know some of you would like to believe we're sitting at our comps 24/7 working on these (free) ROMs, but we're not. If you're impatient, you can apply the WIFI fix yourself. Use an editor to open up /system/etc/firmware/wlan/qcom_cfg.ini and change this line (https://github.com/ikarosdev/androi...read/files/etc/firmware/wlan/qcom_cfg.ini#L17) to 2. The link I posted has the fix already applied.

@idbl_fanatic:

Read the posts on the front page. They're there for a reason. If you don't like the launcher, change it. This is still Android.

I thought I clearly stated this in my first post: I'm not looking for bugs reports. I have neither the time nor the desire to try and reverse engineer a prebuilt ROM. It's a miracle most things are working to begin with.

However, during my usage, there are things that I find annoying. I will try and fix the things that annoy me and if I do, I'll share them with you. For the most part, what I've put up satisfies me so far.

Is there something in the apn settings for messaging that I can or should change that would fix my issue (mentioned earlier)?? I would like to try and learn how to fix my own issues so I don't have to be constantly bugging you. The apn's are way easier to access on MIUI, but I just don't know what I should change. Thanks, and we know you have lives, we are just expressing our opinions & problems on the World Wide Web ;) This is an awsome ROM!!

I don't even know if I have the issue (I don't use messaging. I use GTalk). AFAIK, I still get my SMS just fine. This is probably related to something in Telephony, but I'm not going to mess with that. It was difficult to get it working in the first place. However, I have found some oddities in the MMS apk that I'm planning on looking at.

To the person complaining about the voicemail issue. I've updated my "Tips" post on the first page with a fix.

EDIT: There are rumors of the MIUI source being released. If it is, all these problems can be fixed. Here's hoping that the rumors are true.

EDIT2: I've heard some good things about smartassv2 (for battery life). This something I need to as I'm at school all day and I need my batt to last. I will include this as well in the next build. :)

Thanks, man. I appreciate the beers. :) My donate link is in my sig if you're feeling generous. ;)

I found something interesting about using Google Maps on MIUI. I can use 2 fingers and rotate the map around my current position. I don't remember this being possible in CM7. If it is, somebody please feel to set me straight. :o

Sorry guys. I dont get it.

Why would we "upgrade" from the stock ROM where everything works (kind of) and is close to Android vanilla? This ROM appears to be only partially working and not anywhere as complete as the stock ROM so why upgrade? Whats the benefits?

Im interested in flashing the Triumphs ROM but only if it improves what I have now. For example, GPS fix and WifI Hotspot.

Thanks all.

This rom is just different and IMO better.

Edit: hotspot works in CM7.

So, don't? Use what works for you. Yeah, the stock ROM has everything working (it should, shouldn't it?), but there are features found in 2.3.5 (MIUI and CM7) that you won't get from 2.2.2. (Aside from the usual performance, bugfixes and security fixes that come from a newer version of Android).

Instead of (quasi) insulting people who have worked hard on these ROMs (TG, myself, and others), why don't you just try it and find out? You can always go back if you want. I've been using Android for awhile now so I'm bored of 2.2.

Dramatically better battery life, customization via themes, and a better overall experience. If there's something you can't live without in the MIUI port then obviously it's not for you.

Isaac chose to share his personal port of MIUI with the rest of us as-is, and if folks can't handle something not working they're free to go fix it themselves.
