I found something interesting about using Google Maps on MIUI. I can use 2 fingers and rotate the map around my current position. I don't remember this being possible in CM7. If it is, somebody please feel to set me straight. :o

Lol yeah I noticed the same thing this morning after work. Not sure if it is in cm7... Isaac do you have any info on this compatibility mode? I've noticed this rom doesn't seem to be too friendly with some games that work on both stock and cm7 and I'm wondering what exactly the option does.

If I was trying to snide about your complaint, I could of easily used more colorful words. It's funny you say that I need thicker skin. My post had no bad intentions, but I can't say the same for yours. :(

Third, as I already stated, if you feel your donation was put to misuse, I will gladly refund you your money. I thought I was showing my gratitude by offering whatever I could back to the community. You claim I'm "reaming" the community, but I'm not sure where you get off saying that. If I want to set down my priorities with my projects, I'm free to do so. When you make a ROM or whatever, you can set yours.

Seriously Intercepter?! I have to say you are getting out of line man. Isaac and Ticker Guy both have poured countless hours into getting us something to work with beyond what was offered by the manufacturer. They are not Motorola or Virgin Mobile and thus have no accountability to you. I donated the same as you, but that is a tip of gratitute for what they have done, not some binding contract toward perfection. As with all development... You can take what their blood sweat and tears effort as they offer it, or you can roll stock, or even make your own. You talk of your donation like it is some salary, but I guarantee you that the amount of hours that they have put in already far exceeds the dollars we have donated as a whole at even half of industry standard pay. I have tweaked around with my phone from the beginning. I happily except the hard work they have put in... If I want more beyond that I go looking for a solution for myself or wait patiently for what they offer. These are people with their own lives and priorities that are taking time out to offer things that we ourselves cannot attain alone. Show some respect.

Is anyone getting random text messages from 9999999 with a bunch a garbled crap?

New build is coming after I figure out how to get FFC to work properly with TG's new libs. I'm also adding smartassv2. I can't figure out if the battery life is worse because of MIUI or because I can't put my phone down. ;)

This is what MIUI interprets MMS as. I had some friends try to send me a few and all of them fell under 9999999.

edit, SMS != MMS
 
Isaac I know u don't want bug reports and I promise I won't leave anymore on here but u need to face the facts man, this MIUI port of yours is the shit man! And people are gonna flock to this. We need to forget about the "for fun" part of it. Its gonna take off bro. Nice work and keep on keepin on :)

Alright, thanks. That's good to know. I thought I saw something in logcat bitching, but I'm still trying to figure out why. MIUI's telephony seems to be different than CM7.

Yes. I mainly get them when someone sends me a mms. Which btw, I am receiving. But yeah everytime I get an mms I get one of those 9999999 messages

Battery life seems to fluctuate for me. I assumed it was because I was using my comp to charge my battery. This usually gives me piss-poor battery life.

Either way, this is a priority issue for me. I need my battery to last me through the day. Also, the FFC is driving me nuts. I've been working like crazy on this one. I actually got the WIFI lockup so obviously that'll be included.

yesterday i put in a new battery before i went to sleep and DID NOT put it on the charger, I woke up with 97% (after 7 hours) and then made it through an 8 hour work day with 2 hours of travel time on each end;
After 7 hours of standy, and using the device for music, web, and phone calls for 12 hours i still had 63% battery at the end of the day. That is the best ive seen on this phone so far.
SetCPU @ 1204max-768min w/ ondemand GOV for 19hrs used only 37% of my battery
Motorola stock battery 1380mAh / My battery 1400mAh (hardly any capacity difference, except mine is built for the huawei)
 
On a sad side note, Steve Jobs is dead. He has affected the very culture we all live in with his vision. RIP

Isaac I have a question for ya. Do any of your kernels have loop device support?

I'm trying to get Ubuntu running on the triumph and had no luck with CM7 but I'm really curious cause I want to get this going badly
 
Using stock camera this is superb. Haven't tested wifi yet. This thing is fast as hell. Getting great audio out of it. I know this is a work on if needed, but your doing a awesome job. :D I noticed at the lock screen the frames per second look a little low but when you touch the screen it picks back up.
 
I have one question that will make or break me from switching from the all powerful CM7. Does this support bluetooth tethering?
 
tried out extended settings mod which removes carrier name, remove am/pm etc and it borked the system. dialer error message kept popping up and had to restore :(

Unzip the flash-able MIUI rom
Explore the innards of what you unzipped- go to /system/etc/firmware/wlan/qcom_cfg.ini
Open it up with wordpad or your favorite text editing application
On line 18, change gEnableSuspend=3 to gEnableSuspend=2
Rezip up META-INF, system, and boot.img so that they are at the root of your zip (you don't want an extra folder at the root)
Backup, format system, wipe cache and flash the new .zip

I have been getting the 9999999 texts whenever I had someone send me a pic but I also did get some random 9999999 texts out of no where. I was trying to change the apn in go sms but I guess im not using the right ones. Can someone that got it working post the APN they are using???

I found where this is broken, but I don't think I can fix this (not without the MIUI source). I tried to make the changes, but it breaks radio. :(

It would seem SMS is handled differently in MIUI compared to CM7.
