Is there a way to change the default MIUI animation to my self-made one and if so, how do I do that?

Hmm.. I am not sure if this has been asked before so I apologize for not doing a thorough search but is there a reason why games tend to like pause for a few seconds every once in a while.. games like My Paper Airplane 3, Twist n catch, or even emulating SNES. Its weird cause Spiderman Total Mayhem HD seems to run just fine. Is there any way I can fix this? I have tried overclocking to 1.2 -1.5 on performance but that doesnt seem to help. Wondering which rom is best for gaming?

CM7 is probably your best choice for gaming however I don't have any problems gaming on MIUI. YMMV

yes, and gaming on froyo is flawlessprobably cause theres more free ram
except that google built improvements into gingerbread to make gaming better.

there is a reason google released 2.3 rather than keep 2.2 current. its better. not just for gaming, for everything.

you have the ability to run a newer, better OS, why actively choose an older one?
why wouldnt they? I am playing brothers in arms 2 right now, with the thunderprop mod (so it can download the files from in app)
you need the thunderprop mod or the app will refuse to download the needed files from gamelofts servers, as the app checks the phone and knows that the triumph is unsupported. if it thinks its a Thunderbolt, however, it gets the right files and works fine.
This is a port that had to be made to be made to run on our phone. That being said, everything might not work as it should. Various fixes and changes had to be implemented so I wouldn't find it strange that games might work better on stock.
Back with some wifi update info regarding this rom.
On both my Macbook's shared Wifi (visible, WEP encryption) and on my work's WiFi (hidden, WPA/PSK), the first time to connect to either one took about 3 or 4 hours without me having to do anything but let my phone sit there. After the first time, it connects flawlessly every time after that.

I believe somewhere in the settings for the MIUI player app is something that sets minimum size for files it labels as 'music' - you would probably need to lower the default value, since most ringtones are quite small
YES!That worked. I wasn't paying attention. I thought that was the size of file the player would rip...duh. I set it to zero, and moved all the ringtones into the sd card and the ringtone folder the music player app looks at if you click FOLDERS. SO far I have had ZERO problems picking different ringtones for different people.
Does anyone have any idea what would cause a phone to lock up at the boot logo? I had installed MIUI over the weekend and everything was great...I installed the Black Ice theme and when it rebooted to the animated boot screen it hung there. I left it for 20 minutes and decided it was hosed. So I rolled back to my nandroid and chalked it up to something with the Triumph port not being 100% compatible with everything. Everything's going fine until I decide to power down my phone tonight and restart because my alarm this morning didn't give a snooze or cancel. No biggie. Now it's hung on the motorola logo for going on 15 minutes. I have rebooted it probably 5 times since Saturday but not a complete power off. I guess I will nandroid and wipe again. This is frustrating. I was going to do a new nandroid since I have gotten a bunch of settings and the phone running a lot better but I didn't get the recover menu to come up and just said oh well I do it tomorrow.....doh!

FYI, that theme hosed mine also.. as well as many others... Thankfully you (and I) had nandroids. I'd suggest staying away from that admittedly awesome theme, unfourtunatly. I wouldn't know why it doesn't work though!

You have to apply the theme without the bout animation. Should work just fine then.

This same issue caused me a lot of grief. After a few nandroid restores, I finally rolled back to a nandroid earlier than the Black Ice theme, the problem went away. Good to know the "work around". Wonder what is causing it, and if other boot animations may cause the same issue.

Most themes' boots are fine, but black ice, ICS for MIUI, and Blue Dado all caused loops for me. Just for your reference, you shouldn't need to do a full nandroid restore - flashing your existing version of the ROM (no reset) over the top in recovery should be enough.
Blue Dado works just fine for me with the boot animation and all.
All I have tried loops. It's strange that some phones can and other don't...

I notice that you and Tickerguy have both posted FINAL's. Does this mean that you and him are through developing these roms?

Yeah. Those are the last builds for the ROMs.
I tried using it last weekend and it kept bugging out on me. said it was on but greyed out and I had to reboot to clear it. the whole while the PC saw no active hotspot.
its in settings>system>tethering and portable hotspot. its there its just named weirdly.
I think... im on CM7 at the moment cant verify
