Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

Is there a way to install the original Android browser back on? I find the MIUI browser frustrating. Thanks

Do yourself a favor and get the Dolphin HD browser from the Android market. Much better, more features, better html rendering, etc. And FREE!

Or the Opera browser (also FREE). It compresses pages to smaller files which helps them load them quicker, I like the way the menus are set up too. I find myself accidentally pulling out the sidebar almost every time I try to scroll horizontally when using Dolphin and it can get rather annoying.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying out Dolphin and it's pretty good. Happy with it so far. Thanks

Isaacj87,

Out of curiosity, under your devices it says (MIUI-1.12.2-Triumph). Is that a different version of MIUI from (1.11.25) that's on the first page? Thanks

I am having terrible battery life with this build. I have not used any of the previous versions but did just install it on a new stock MT.
My phone will not last more than 5 hours with light usage. It seems that if I use the phone (usually via Bluetooth to my car), something with the Dialer app hangs and drains the battery dead. The only fix is to reboot. However, I cant reboot the phone after every pone call.
Does anyone have any options for me?

Does this MIUI ROM use newer touchscreen drivers than what was included in TG's CM7 ROM? Or are they all pretty much still using the stock blobs? If there is anything new, please let me know & I can test backporting to CM7. Thanks.

EDIT: Actually I'd be interested in any new drivers that could be used in CM7 too.

Yes. I backported the driver from a newer FB0/FD1 kernel. Plus, the kernel in the last build contains the reorganization that I did. I believe those building "3rd-party" kernels for CM7 have already incorporated the changes that you can see here: https://github.com/ikarosdev/triumph-kernel-msm7x30/commits/2.6.32.9-chaos-MIUI

Can try wiping the battery stats as it is possible you are not actually receiving a full charge despite your device telling you its at 100%. Have had these issues in the past, not just a shameless plug for my guide, decided to put that thing together for a reason. lol

well i got stuck in a boot loop from one of the theme animations and no backup. reflashing the rom doesnt do anything. is there any way other than wiping data?

Reflashing the ROM should work. If not, try taking your SD card out and boot without it in.

Hi isaac; it's my first post on these forums. Just wanted to say, this ROM and all the work you've put into it are absolutely fantastic. I'm getting a Triumph for Christmas and I can't wait to ditch my craptacular Intercept.

One question though: I noticed in your profile that your Triumph is (or was, unfortunately) running MIUI 1.12.2. Is there any chance you'll be posting that newer version for download?

I installed the gapps on Dec. 8 and noticed the date on the home screen has not changed from 8 since. When I click on the app I get the current date but the number doesn't change. Anybody else having that issue or a solution??

Nope. One reason you may be having difficulty: no need to flash GAPPS on MIUI, they are already on board. You may want to reflash the ROM

Okay, I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet but I'll ask anyway.

On my Triumph I can visibly tell that the whole screen is about 5-10 pixels pushed to the right. It is evident by the black screen space on the far left of my screen and the incorrect looking rounded corners on the right side (due to the pixels being cut off).

It doesn't affect functionality but this little thing is driving me nuts.

Does it look the same way on a stock rom? If so, then you have a messed up phone and should get it replaced.

I have not noticed the same thing on my phone on any rom.

This is weird. It definitely sounds like a hardware problem though...

Hi all,
Im on MIUI 110911 but want to install "Fianl" MIUI 113011. Is it a simple case of downloading and running the installer? Will I keep all my apps/settings?
Thanks all.

You need to download the zip and flash it in CWM, like you did originally. You probably don't have to wipe /data this time unless you run into issues afterwards. Make sure you follow all the other steps you did to originally flash the ROM.
