Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

It's because you are using the wrong clock work mod version

Does noone read the posts anymore... jk... kinda... It was because I was using a different CWM, and when I installed Isaac's it worked fine... I don't know why there is so much difference between them though...

Edit: also I just noticed this but you may want to edit your post to reflect what i have bolded...

Oh wow yeah definitely too many pages haha.

I was really liking the stock MIUI messenger but it looks like its going to have to come down to that. I'll probably go with gosms since it's my favorite.

Or you could look how to add SMS splitting to the mms.apk

I've noticed that when sending a long message it does actually intend to split. It shows the (2) next to the word counter but once you send it, it fails.

I don't think I know enough to be able to know what to do once I go into the .apk Knowing me I'd probably break the whole rom and have to re-flash it. >.<

Is there anyway to change the hotspot channel?> i seem to be in need of doing that and I dont see any way and Google(ing) doesnt seem to help.

Has anyone else had the issue where you flip wifi on (I do it via the toggle pulldown screen) and nothing happens... nothing happens... nothing happens... but then when you go into settings -> wifi, only then it begins to connect?

Nope. But I've noticed something somewhat similar: when I dl/update an app from the market, and the stat bar says its still updating until I clear notifications - long after the app is actually done updating or installing.

I've seen this same issue. Typically I will have to hit clear to clear that out

I've seen that. But I've also seen that on stock. So I think it's an issue with the wireless driver from motorola that we're using which we can't fix because we don't have source code for that driver.

This just started the other night. I listen to Pandora driving in my truck with a headphone cable plugged into my Triumph and into the truck stereo. I unplugged when I got to the Mexican Restaurant and went in. My brother called and I couldn't hear him. I hung up and called him, I never heard it ring or anything. I looked and the headphone icon was still there. So I went outside and talked to him on speakerphone fine. Ended the call and the headphone icon was on. I called time of day and couldn't hear anything. It's been a while since I rebooted, so I did a complete power down and when it rebooted, yep, the headphone icon is there. I call time of day on the speakerphone and let it sit. At first it shows the headphone icon, then it blinks and it's like the speakerphone and headphone are fighting for control. The headphone icon flickers on and off 4 or 5 times and finally goes out. After that the phone works fine. NO headphone icon.

Today, I come into work listening to Pandora. I come in and yep, stuck on headphones. Same deal, go call time of day on speakerphone and it takes about 2 minutes, but sure enough the headphone and speakerphone icons battle it out and finally the headphone goes out and stays out.

WTF is going on? The headphone cable stays in the truck. 100 yards or more from the phone. There is nothing physically in the jack. Is this some kind of software bug or a sign that the phone is FUBAR.

Maybe its an app conflict. I will attempt to replicate this tomorrow. If Pandora's app needs an update, backup your current version and try the update. Will the same thing occur when using the MIUI music (or any other music) app jacked in and playing before a call? If no improvement from there, I would reflash your current ROM just to see if there was a problem on that end that only affected music/notifications/etc.

Gah I'm really tempted to mess with it since I really like the stock MIUI messenger. Any advice where i can grab the .apk and what to do after? Thanks :D

It happens without Pandora or the Music app running, although even if I force close the Music app, just inserting the headphones makes it play . I guess I will reflash the ROM and see what happens.

Hey guys,

I'm glad to see there's still interest in this project. I got a request on Github to put my MIUI framework changes up (if there's still a need from them). I believe I still have them on my dev laptop somewhere. I'll dig those up and push them when I can, but they might be severely outdated.

I know I fell off the radar there for awhile. I was enjoying my winter break holiday and before I knew it school came back in full swing. Unfortunately, I think I bit off more than I could chew this semester. Needless to say, it's keeping me pretty busy. I also have a business project (not Android related) thing that I'm working on the side. My buddy and I hope to see that come into fruition soon!

That leaves me with my old, trustworthy Optimus V. (I couldn't take the Triumph back from her...)

You know a nice working ICS rom would make it a truly nice present for her :) ... and with a FIH/3.x ported kernel? Better than diamonds! Nice to hear from you in the present tense (spent a lot of time reading past posts to figure out what all you and TG did :) )

Thanks for the update Issac and for all your hard work!

Have you heard about this yet?

http://miuiandroid.com/2012/02/xiaomi-opens-up-android-rom-source-code/

Since MIUI just went open source, maybe you can try porting their new ICS-based ROM to the Triumph now. Just throwing that out there. :p

I'm betting they are just going to release the sources for version before Miui 4.0 and keep the ics based closed source. If that's possible lol. As anything under it will be old news I doubt they would care as much about the sources now.
