Here is an interesting bug. My phone randomly wound up as "Unrooted". Running gingerbreak now.
I installed v6 over my clean v5. All the FC's I had are gone, but Satellite AR still can't find my location even though I have both Network and GPS location turned on. I tried setting the app to use GPS and also tried setting it to use network, and it still says "Unknown location", and says to enable the settings in the phone, which are already all enabled.
Also, even though I have Network Location enabled, Gas Buddy wouldn't detect my location until I went to where I could get a GPS signal, so the phone doesn't seem to be providing WiFi location service.
Thanks for the feedback. It may be flashing over Ver5, you can try wiping cache and Dalvik cache, that way you won't lose your setup. I was testing from scratch, so I just went ahead and setup from there. I just tried Satellite AR and it worked fine, also Gas Buddy works fine for me. I found that on first boot, some of the apps that use location take a minute to get a lock. You can just open maps and get a lock and then the apps work flawlessly. While researching I found that a lot of newer apps look for last location, so I found that after you have gotten a lock they all work just fine.Flashed 6 over 5, everything seems to work now, had to mess with beautiful widgets but it's up and running. I be happy. Looks like the basic phone is perfect now.
Did you enable agps in Location & security settings? I did test the gps with out agps enabled, it took a while, had to walk around my back yard a couple times, but it still took less time than on stock. But with agps turned on it will lock in my house in a few seconds, excluding first lock. I think they might have covered up the gps antenna or something in the phone, that makes our gps suck, but with agps it is crazy fast.Just did fresh install of v6 over stock so voicemail would work, and network based location still isn't working for me. But the fc's are gone! Nice job on this Rom btw, it's my new favorite. I didn't realize how long it took cm7 to connect to Wi-Fi till I installed this Rom. GPS rocks on this Rom!

Ginger break did not work. I reflash my whole system, hoping that would fix it. It didn't :-(.
I went ahead and downloaded the superuser Flashable zip from the website, and now it's working perfectly
Sorry, you must have been one of the 10 people that downloaded it before I caught the problem. You can check the MD5 or just download it again, as the link is fixed now.Thankfully only a few people downloaded this before I caught it. There was an issue with root, specifically su. It will be back up in a second. Sorry to those that already grabbed it should be able to just flash over it,

A big THANKS to all of the early adopters for the feedback, testing, and kind words. I would have never found all the bugs without you guys. Sorry for all the versions, Ver6 should be the last major system overhaul, so any updates from here out should be small changes.
Thanks, I edited the dirty install directions to make sure this will work. To be sure that the fix sticks, send yourself a voicemail before you start the process, then wait until you get the voicemail notification in the Stock ROM, make sure it shows your number, then power down and flash Ver6 or newer. That should take care of it. I only had it not stick once, and I think it was because I shut down the phone before it connected to the network to be able to set the voicemail number. Hope this clears things up.I'm still not understanding this dirty install thing to fix *86. I was on version 5 and wiped data and cache before flashing b_randon's deodexed stock. I flashed the deodexed stock rom and let it fully boot up. Then I flashed ver6 without wiping any data or cache. *86 still doesn't work. Am I doing the dirty install right or is it that I'm using the deodexed version and should be using the other? Just curious about it.
It is still a beautiful ROM by far. :thrasher:

Sorry I was still waking up, I just reread your post and if you could give me some examples I can test some things out. Thanks for the response.Yes, and my GPS is working great, but I was saying that my network based location wasn't working for some apps.
I'm not the person you replied to, but, as I mentioned, in v6 Gas Buddy wouldn't get a location until I moved my phone to a location where GPS would work: It didn't obtain a network based location.Sorry I was still waking up, I just reread your post and if you could give me some examples I can test some things out. Thanks for the feedback, the more details the easier it is for me to figure out.I did wipe cache and Dalvik cache immediately before AND immediately after flashing v6 over v5. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Satellite AR, and it still won't get a location. I did try opening Maps first, and Maps works fine with GPS location (but Maps doesn't seem to work with Network/WiFi location like it does in other ROMS), but still nothing in Satellite AR. Looks like I'll have to try a clean v6 install since you say Satellite AR is getting a location for you in v6.
Also, do you have Satellite AR set to use Fine GPS or to use Course Network location? Can you try both settings within Satellite AR settings menu, and let me know if both work for you?
UPDATE: NETWORK LOCATION FIX!!
Ok guys. real easy fix. Just need the NetworkLocation.apk from the stock Triumph ROM, I'll put a flashable patch up in a minute.

The battery life on this ROM is absolutely phenomenal! I can't express that enough. I've had it off the charger for days and had 30% of my battery left where with CM7 it'd die within the course of a day at most. Thanks so much, my experience has changed ten-fold!
Patience grasshoppa. Had to test it before I released it.Can't find the flashable zip
It is an app that allows Gapps to use network location, which uses googles database of wireless routers and cell towers to find your location. I should have had it from the start but completely overlooked it.What does the NetworkLocation.APK do?
Not mine. It seems to drain faster than CM7 Reloaded for me. This ROM dies in under 1 ordinary day for me, and CM7 could usually, but not always, make it through a day.The battery life on this ROM is absolutely phenomenal! I can't express that enough.
