Root [ROM][PORT] Sharp ROM 2.2.2 for the Triumph (Updated: 12/16/12)

Not mine. It seems to drain faster than CM7 Reloaded for me. This ROM dies in under 1 ordinary day for me, and CM7 could usually, but not always, make it through a day.

Mine is draining kind of fast but I have a few widgets running back ground data and I keep my screen about 50% to 75% bright. Cost of pimping out my Triumph I guess. Battery life about the same or a little better than the stock rom for me.

Any way to remove the 'Social network' section you see when you view a contact? with the "Tap to log in to Sina" ... which doesn't do anything if you press it..

I had everything working with Ver.6, I flashed the gps fix thing, and lost 4square again, and had a reboot. Cleared both caches and reflashed ver 6 and everything works again? Since I'm good to go, I'm staying here, lol

Possibly but it's not really on my list of to do's right now. You can check out alternatives from the play store, and see if that helps.

I don't use foursquare, but If you had the alternative geolocation set then that may have been what was wrong. Everything should work normally, no need to change settings for anything. I would reinstall the app first.

If you open up the network location fix zip, all it does is put 1 apk in the system/app folder, you can do the same with root explorer. It does not change any system settings what so ever. If you are familiar with root explorer you can just open the zip, long press the apk, extract the apk, copy it to system/app, then set the permission to match all the other apks in the folder.

I see the issue now and better understand it. Satellite AR will work on coarse or fine but will not work with use wireless networks enabled. I'll see what I can do and make a patch for those with ver6 so you won't have to reinstall, if I can.
Thanks for all the work. I flashed the network location fix, and cleared both caches, and network location still didn't work, so I cleared caches again, flashed the entire new v6 with the network location fix included, cleared caches yet again, and still no network location. Satellite AR still says no location available if I enable Network Location on the phone (and works fine with network location disabled, except no network location is available, of course).

Is there anything else I can do or check short of a clean v6 install to get Network Location working?

For it to work you have to agree to googles licence agreement. It should pop up if you uncheck the enable network location then enable it again. This should not be an issue for a fresh install as the setting for enable network location will not be checked yet. Hope this helps.

EDIT: I found an issue, I'll figure it out tomorrow night, I have to get up at 4AM , so I gotta get to bed.

I don't know why it is but Satellite AR seems to be working for me. It points me in the direction of all the satellites. I can't actually see them but that's because its cloudy. I've browsed all the menus and it doesn't ever give me any errors. I like this app.

Right now the only issue with mine is *86. I'm not doing anything with that though because I really like what I've got.

I have been replacing the contacts.apk, contactsprovider.apk, and phone.apk on the Sharp rom with the .apks from the stock rom before flashing. I haven't had any problems as a result.

I've been doing the same without problem. Actually, I've been replacing pretty much every apk that shows up in the launcher to give it more of a stock feel. This includes but is not limited to browser, calculator, calendar, contacts, contacts provider, desk clock, camera, gallery, mms, music, and phone. I also replaced the icon for settings with the stock one. On top of that, i removed all the bloat including the launcher and added zeam launcher.

First off, thanks for this ROM. It has given me renewed hope for my MT. I themed mine up a little bit and thought I would share in case anyone wants a similar look. Here are some screen shots:

Imgur album in case images above don't work

Anyway, I'm using Go Launcher EX with an ICS theme (I'll look which one if anyone is interested). Then I themed the lock screen, notification bar and menu with UOT kitchen (file attached), just save the zip to your sd card, reboot to recovery and flash. I'm using v6 and have had no problems so far. I also used font changer to change the clock font to Roboto (the ICS font).

This ROM is really great. Its smooth and I seem to have great battery life. I have a question tho, not that my MT is slow, but will there be, or is there a kernel that allows OC? Sorry if this was covered earlier in the post, I didnt read all of them. Thanks in advance.

Thought I would give this a try but these two files do not exist on my phone, contacts.apk, contactsprovider.apk. Are you sure the names are correct?

Is there any way to change 3G and 1x icons - I absolutely hate them :)

I remember reading a fix in the previous posts... I am not sure where, sorry.

Edit: I think I got that wrong, I can't find the post I was thinking of. On the other hand I think the GB theme listed in the mods post will change the icon. Also I use Go Launcher and some of their themes change it as well.

:DSense Sharp:D

Launcher isn't effected. Use whichever you prefer.

The sense sharp is not a standalone ROM. It is a theme for the sharp ROM. Flash it over a dirty install of sharp. Look for instructions on how to perform a dirty install at the top of this thread.
